    Abstract: Methods of manufacturing fly fishing lines with very low specific gravities entail adding polymer microspheres to a base coating and coating a core with the base coating containing the added polymer microspheres. To manufacture fly lines having multiple coatings, a second coating, which may contain polymer or glass microspheres, is disposed around a first coating that contains polymer microspheres.
