Abstract: An improved Method for the separation of catalyst particles and the wax product from the output slurry of a Fischer-Tropsch bubble column reactor comprising the contact of a hydrocarbon solvent from a cyclic solvent stream with the slurry, wherein the solvent is a hydrocarbon fraction which is pressurized and heated to its supercritical state and the temperature and the pressure of the solvent at the supercritical state are similar to those of the F-T reactor. After the separating of the catalyst from the hydrocarbon mixture of the solvent and the slurry in a catalyst separation section the hydrocarbon solvent and the wax product are separated, whereby the recovered solvent phase is lead to the cyclic solvent stream; which is used after re-pressurizing and re-heating in a supercritical solvent supply module to recycling the hydrocarbon solvent for the contact step. A system for carrying out the method is also disclosed.

Abstract: The invention relates to a process for removing hydrogen sulfide and recovering sulfur from a gas stream, comprising the steps of: contacting said gas stream with an aqueous catalyst solution of a polyvalent metal redox catalyst in a contacting zone to absorb said hydrogen sulfide and form a reduced catalyst solution comprising reduced polyvalent metal redox catalyst and sulfur particles; oxidizing said reduced catalyst solution while removing sulfur particles to form said oxidized aqueous catalyst solution comprising polyvalent metal redox catalyst in an oxidized state with sulfur particles removed; and recovering sulfur by transferring at least one of said sulfur particles and foam to a separation zone; wherein a coagulating reagent is added to a feed of said separation zone prior to entering said separation zone to promote settlement of sulfur particles.

Abstract: The invention relates to an integrated process for producing liquid fuels, the process comprising the steps of: a) subjecting syngas with a hydrogen/carbon monoxide ratio between about 0.5 to 2.0 to Fischer-Tropsch reaction conditions in the presence of a first catalyst; b) optionally removing water and/or heavy hydrocarbons from the product stream; and c) subjecting the product from step a) or b) together with syngas of a hydrogen/carbon monoxide ratio higher than that of step a) or hydrogen to Fischer-Tropsch reaction conditions at higher temperatures than during step a) in the presence of a second catalyst, said second catalyst being selected such as to provide a higher activity than said first catalyst; wherein said first catalyst is selected such as to provide low methane selectivity and high olefins and heavy hydrocarbons selectivity. According to the invention, a third synthesis step or additional synthesis steps is added subsequent to the synthesis step c).
