Abstract: What is described is a slider (1) for zip fasteners with two tabs (2, 3), comprising a hollow body (4) in which are positioned means (10, 5, 6) designed in such a way that, when either one of the said two tabs (2, 3) is pulled, this causes the disengagement of a pawl (7) from the teeth (Zi) of a fastener, overcoming the resistance of elastic means (8, 9) which keep the pawl inserted between the said teeth (Zi). In the slider (1) according to the invention, the said means consist of a fork (10) provided with two prongs (5, 6) positioned on opposite sides of the plane (?) of the teeth (Zi) and pivoted at a point (P, Q) of the slider (1) in such a way that it can rotate in a plane (?) perpendicular to the said plane (?) of the teeth (Zi) when a force is exerted on at least one (6) of its prongs (5, 6) by means of the tab (3) connected to it by its ring (3a).
Abstract: A description is given of a slider (1) with two pull tabs (2, 3) arranged symmetrically with respect to each other and each provided with a ring (2a, 3a), the slider comprising a hollow body (4) containing an escapement (5), the pawl (6) of which is designed to be inserted between the teeth of the zip in order to prevent movements between the zip and the slider (1), the escapement (5) being provided with elastic means (7) which keep its pawl (6) inserted between the teeth until it is disengaged by one or other of the pull tabs (2, 3).
Abstract: A method of sealing the join between two tapes to which the teeth of a waterproof zip are attached and two edges of a garment composed of a first or waterproof layer and a second or fabric layer, which comprises: a) applying to a first side of each tape, a strip of heat-weldable textile material attached to it, by at least one weld line, such that each strip comprises a first and a second flap; b) welding the edge of the first layer to one face of the flap furthest from the teeth; c) attaching the edge of the second layer to the second side of each tape; d) folding down the flap nearest to the teeth of the zip; and e) forming another weld that hermetically joins the outline of the outer edges of the flap to the corresponding tape around the area.
