Patent number: 12214411Abstract: A tubing bender device includes a frame, handle, ratchet mechanism, slide rod and a frame notch. The tubing bender may be easily disassembled and assembled into a forward or reverse configuration through the use of connectors, two brackets and a bending mandrel. Reversibility is also provided by a cross bow bar support releasably secured to either the slide rod or to a bracket. The cross bow bar support may also be inverted to position die heads in either an upward or downward direction. Repositionable die heads may also be rotated relative to the support into an operative configuration when bending smaller diameter tubing. The repositionable die heads are rotated relative to the support into a non-operative configuration when bending larger diameter tubing.Type: GrantFiled: March 6, 2023Date of Patent: February 4, 2025Assignee: Ritchie Engineering Company, Inc.Inventor: Gregory M. Guse

Patent number: 7428822Abstract: The compressor head, internal and/or external discriminator, and manifold design in general utilize ball valves on the suction and discharge of a cylinder head in the recovery of refrigerant liquid and/or vapor. The device facilitates the flashing of liquid refrigerant pumped to the compressor which, in turn, assists to cool the compressor head. The flashing of liquid refrigerant to vapor also deters liquid transfer into the compressor enhancing performance thereof. The vapor passages within the discriminator, cylinder head and/or manifold are sized for receipt of spring actuated ball's to open and/or close the vapor passages during suction and/or discharge of refrigerant vapor or liquid by the compressor.Type: GrantFiled: July 10, 2006Date of Patent: September 30, 2008Assignee: Ritchie Engineering Company, Inc.Inventors: Ajit Ramachandran, Keith Sliger, Ronald A. Plasek

Publication number: 20060228242Abstract: A vacuum pump may include a tubular stator located between an intake plate and a back plate. Mating portions on the intake plate and back plate may be used to properly locate the stator. The stator may include two internal pump chambers separated by a divider plate. The divider plate may be located within an internal cavity of the stator. A rotor in each chamber may include vanes and may be offset from the center of the chamber. Each rotor may be fixed to a rotatable shaft for operation of the vacuum pump. In some embodiments, the divider plate may have a fluid passageway extending therethrough. The fluid passageway may be located within the area swept by the rotors. In some embodiments, an exhaust outlet may include a flutter valve having a shaped surface that prevents the flutter valve from fully closing.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 11, 2005Publication date: October 12, 2006Applicant: Ritchie Engineering Company, Inc.Inventors: William West, Duane Boehler
