Patent number: 5674103Abstract: Disclosed is a shape sorting bucket for use in combination with a set of construction toy blocks having coupling elements that make them detachably stackable onto each other. The bucket is made of three parts including a container defining an enclosure in which the construction toy blocks can be stored, a shape sorting rim extending above the container, this rim having walls provided with holes of different shape, and a lid detachably connectable onto the rim, this lid having an upper surface from which project coupling elements similar to or compatible with those of the construction toy blocks, whereby the lid can be used as a base plate for use to play with the construction toy blocks. Some of the construction blocks are sized and shaped to snugly fit into and thus be sortable through the holes in the walls of the rim, whereby the bucket can also be used as a shape sorting toy. This bucket can be personalized into a character.Type: GrantFiled: January 19, 1996Date of Patent: October 7, 1997Assignee: The Ritvik Group Inc.Inventor: Sandra Bean

Patent number: 5657695Abstract: A reversible track section for a toy car circuit. The reversible track section has a length, two opposite ends, two opposite sides, a top surface and a bottom surface. The reversible track section includes a thin, elongated plate including a central recess on the top surface. The central recess is of given height and rectangular cross-section and extends over the length defining two narrow pathways on the bottom surface, and includes a pair of longitudinal flanges on each of the opposite sides extending perpendicular to the top surface and towards the bottom surface. The longitudinal flanges are of the same height as the central recess and each is provided with an integral, outwardly projecting extension of constant width.Type: GrantFiled: January 22, 1996Date of Patent: August 19, 1997Assignee: The Ritvik Group Inc.Inventors: Real Lanoix, Jean-Christophe Doyon, Gilles Collin, Daniel Bourgeois

Patent number: 5435769Abstract: A play house for use by children to play with dolls or toy figurines. It has a base, a plurality of lateral walls and a roof which altogether define an openable enclosure externally shaped as a house. It also has one or more floor members within the enclosure, each of which has an upper surface provided with a plurality of identical connecting elements, preferably in the form of cylindrical studs, that extend upwardly therefrom. The connecting elements are sized and positioned to fit into, and retain construction toy blocks capable of being assembled with other construction toy blocks provided with the same connecting elements. Advantageously, the floor members are detachably mounted within the enclosure to allow the construction toy blocks to be assembled therewith outside the enclosure.Type: GrantFiled: June 8, 1993Date of Patent: July 25, 1995Assignee: The Ritvik Group Inc.Inventor: Victor J. Patent number: 5387158Abstract: There is disclosed a play kit of detachable plastic components capable of forming either a slide assembly or a teeter assembly. The kit includes an elongated plastic playboard as a basic playing element. The latter has a wavy configuration and is preferables constructed in two symmetrical members abutting one another and releasably locked to each other. When used as a slide, the playboard is removably connected, at one end, to an upper end of a plastic support formed with steps to act as a ladder. The latter and the playboard are held together by removable struts. When the basic element is used as a teeter board, the support is made to act as a base. A prop structure is then detachably connected to the said base and to the playboard to allow the latter to teeter as well as to rotate about a vertical axis.Type: GrantFiled: March 23, 1993Date of Patent: February 7, 1995Assignee: The Ritvik Group Inc.Inventor: Victor J. Patent number: 5188221Abstract: A display packaging made of plastic material, having a flat hanging hook that is slidably mounted onto one of its walls, preferably the bottom wall in such a manner as to be extendable whenever desired, and retractable inside the packaging when it is not needed. When it is used to sell small construction toy blocks, the packaging may comprise on some of its walls, a plurality of coupling studs sized to match those of the blocks, thereby making it possible for the packaging itself to be part of the construction game whenever desired.Type: GrantFiled: March 16, 1992Date of Patent: February 23, 1993Assignee: The Ritvik Group Inc.Inventor: Victor J. Patent number: 5035324Abstract: A toy packaging is disclosed, which comprises a generally cylindrical container having an open end that is closable by a cap, and, in combination with this container, the toy hat that is removably fixable onto the upper end of the container, the hat having a cut-shaped portion sized to fit onto a child's head. Advantaeously, the cup-shaped portion of the toy hat is of such a diameter as to snuggly fit onto the upper end of the container, and a full-sized picture of a child's face is provided onto the wall portion of this container adjacent the upper end thereof. Thereby, when the toy hat is press-fitted onto the container, it seems to be worn by the child whose face is on the picture. This toy packaging is particularly well designed for use to sell, store and put away toys construction blocks including coupling elements making them detachably stackable onto the other.Type: GrantFiled: February 7, 1990Date of Patent: July 30, 1991Assignee: The Ritvik Group Inc.Inventor: Victor J.
