Abstract: A music toy kit combining a music toy instrument like a piano or a drum, with a set of construction toy blocks. The music toy instrument is provided with coupling elements similar to or compatible with those of the construction toy blocks and at least some of the blocks are provided with a music score on at least one of their sides, whereby, in use, one may stack one or more of the construction toy blocks onto the music toy instrument and use these blocks as a combined music stand and score to play a given tune.

Abstract: A bucket that children cannot put over their head, having a bottom wall, side walls, a removable lid and a non-pivoting U-shaped handle. The side walls project upwardly from the bottom wall and form an opening having circumscribing edges. The removable lid fits in the circumscribing edges for closing the bucket. The non-pivoting U-shaped handle has opposite side legs slidably mounted onto the side walls. The U-shaped handle also has stopping means for limiting sliding of the handle between a first position where the U-shaped handle bears against the lid when the same is fitted in the circumscribing edges and a second position where the U-shaped handle extends away from the lid and thus makes it possible to remove the lid from the circumscribing edges. Thus, the U-shaped handle, both in first and second positions, divides the opening into two smaller openings which are smaller than a child's head, thus children cannot put the bucket over their head.

Abstract: Disclosed is a toy construction piece being in the form of a half-shell having a bottom portion, a top portion, a bottom wall portion and first and second pair of top wall portions. The bottom wall portion is generally octagonal in shape. The first and second pair of top wall portions extend perpendicularly to each other from the bottom wall portion to the top portion, forming together a generally pyramidal shape and defining four generally dihedral recesses between the four adjacent top wall portions respectively. Each of the dihedral recesses have a bottom in the form of a flat surface. Each of the flat surfaces have rows of outwardly projecting pegs and have an opening also having outwardly projecting pegs. The top portion has a border having two rows of outwardly projecting pegs, the inner row being downwardly recessed from the other. The border defines an opening therein and has an inner surface having outwardly projecting pegs.

Abstract: A base for a modular multi-part construction toy is disclosed which has a surface which permits the assembly of a number of toy modules thereon to form an erected toy. The base further includes a number of mechanically movable elements which are used in association with various drive shaft pieces to rotate or otherwise move part or all of the erected toy. The drive shaft pieces are engaged by the movable elements which in turn are driven in movement by gearing mechanically coupled to a motor which is housed internally within the base. The base further includes a number of electrical receptacles for supplying electric power to electric light emitting toy modules, and an audio output mechanism for producing sounds associated with the erected toy. The surface of the base may further be provided with a desired contour or profile and have indicia which simulates a particular geographic location, vehicle, vessel, or other structure.
