Patent number: 11905689Abstract: A device of the invention comprises piping for carrying liquid such as potable water within a piping network of a building, at least two control valves, a pressure transducer to measure water pressure in the piping, a flowmeter to measure water flow and a controller to control opening and closing of the control valves based on sensed pressure and measured waterflow. The controller has a processor with preprogrammed instructions for controlling conditions under which the control valves are opened and closed by command from said controller. Two programmable modes for control are provided for use in a building under construction; a rough-in operation and a normal water-on operation. Both modes have respective leak prevention logic in the controller enabling automatic operation of the control valves for effective leak prevention. The device may be employed within a communications network in which remote computers and mobile communication devices may observe and/or control operation of the device.Type: GrantFiled: October 15, 2021Date of Patent: February 20, 2024Assignee: RK INDUSTRIES, LLCInventor: Matthew Wallace

Patent number: 9844204Abstract: A folding corral system is operable to define an enclosed space and to selectively adjust the size of the enclosed space. The folding corral system broadly includes a corral structure, a swingable corral panel, and a powered drive system. The corral structure is operable to be installed adjacent the enclosed space. The corral panel is pivotally supported relative to the corral structure to swing about an upright pivot axis. The corral panel is swingable relative to the corral structure into and out of a deployed condition where the swingable corral panel at least partly defines the enclosed space. The powered drive system is drivingly attached relative to the swingable corral panel. The powered drive system is operable to drive the swingable corral panel into and out of the deployed condition.Type: GrantFiled: May 21, 2015Date of Patent: December 19, 2017Assignee: RK Industries, LLCInventor: Wayne D. Publication number: 20110271806Abstract: Methods and apparatus for manufacturing articles, such as gutter covers, from a flat feedstock are provided herein. In some embodiments, an apparatus for fabricating articles having apertures from a flat feedstock may include an uncoiler to supply a flat feedstock in roll form; a first flying press configured to receive the feedstock, wherein the first flying press houses a tool and die to form one or more apertures in the feedstock; a roll former configured to pull the feedstock from the uncoiler and through the flying press, the roll former comprising a plurality of rollers to create a desired profile along the width of the feedstock; and a flying shear to cut the feedstock to a desired length.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 4, 2010Publication date: November 10, 2011Applicant: RK INDUSTRIES, INC.Inventor: RICHARD L. Patent number: 4317971Abstract: An electrical limit switch valve, having an essentially rigid plastic structural composition, is adapted to conductively secure a fluid flow pipe. A covering flexible elastic membrane diaphragm separates a valve base and piped fluid from a spring loaded ON-OFF electrical switch. The push button detent of the ON-OFF switch is operated normal to the valve bore axis. A valve plug slidably moves on the valve bore axis, the plug bonded at the first valve plug face to the second face of the flexible diaphragm, and the valve plug stem operates the push button detent of the ON-OFF switch. An adjustable actuating first pressurizing spring, coaxially disposed in the valve top housing along the valve bore axis regulates the fluid pressure at which the ON-OFF switch is actuated. An adjustable second pressurizing spring positioned normal to the valve bore axis is adapted to operate on a second spindle controlling the valve plug movement at fluid pressures below atmosphere pressure, in the fluid flow pipe.Type: GrantFiled: May 27, 1980Date of Patent: March 2, 1982Assignee: RK IndustriesInventor: Verlon C. Patent number: 4276902Abstract: A fluid pressure regulator valve has a rigid plastic composition valve housing having a coaxial aligned opposed inlet port and outlet port, and a hollow cylindrical interior having four stepped successively larger selected bore diameters on serially proceeding from the bottom deep base bore to the top screw cap retainer bore. A cylindrical sealing solid piston has a first flat piston crown end face and an opposed second flat piston end face, the second end face having a larger diameter than the crown face, and has one diametrically concentric fluid transfer channel disposed in and circumferentially around the piston cylindrical axis adjacent to the first piston face. A cylindrical screw cap has a shaped hollow dome and screw threads secured in the hollow cylindrical valve housing interior. An interior fluid distribution annular washer is secured in an annular washer recess disposed in the interior face of the screw cap.Type: GrantFiled: November 5, 1979Date of Patent: July 7, 1981Assignee: RK IndustriesInventor: Verlon C. Patent number: 4267861Abstract: Fluid transfer valves having a first and a second actuating means are functionally assembled from a common valve housing having coaxial aligned opposed inlet and outlet ports and a hollow cylindrical interior having four stepped bores, concentrically aligned on a housing cylindrical symmetry axis. A cylindrical sealing solid piston is disposed in the cylindrical deep bore of the housing. A concentric bore in the screw cap secures and provides a close linear alignment path for the sealing solid piston. The cap has multiple concentric radial apertures disposed in an interior integral cap collar, providing a flow path for fluid transfer. A concentric piston channel uniformly disposed in and around the axis of symmetry of the piston provides fluid transfer through the valve on controlled positioning of the piston. A first aperture connects the inlet port to the annular bore surrounding the piston, and a second aperture can connect the outlet port to the piston channel.Type: GrantFiled: November 5, 1979Date of Patent: May 19, 1981Assignee: RK IndustriesInventor: Verlon C.
