    Abstract: A separator for lead starved storage batteries comprises at least one layer of nonwoven fabric made from fibres of one or more organic polymers. In at least one embodiment, the nonwoven fabric is made from staple fibres of polyester with count between 0.1 and 4 dTex. In at least one embodiment of the invention, a lead starved storage battery is provided with such separators.
