Patents Assigned to Robatel S.L.P.I.
  • Patent number: 4869713
Abstract: In order to dispense with any deformable protective bellows element in a centrifugal machine, the connection between the fixed supply pipe and the retractable pouring spout is disposed inside the containment envelope, while the spout with its support sleeve and its control mechanism are carried by a removable extraction stopper.

  • Patent number: 4285462
Abstract: The present invention relates to a centrifuge with a turbine system for hydraulic control and the like, wherein the system comprises an annular member having a groove mounted to slide in a housing hollowed in the lower face of the bowl 4, this groove member being fast with a support wedged on the conical bearing surface of the shaft. The liquid arrives through the ports in a plate whose ports discharge into the groove. The liquid injected in 14 raises a movable bowl member and uncovers the ports for draining the sludge from the bowl. By overflow, a drain valve is suppled of the groove into another hydraulic path with liquid to open the bowl. The bowl 4 may thus be withdrawn from the shaft by being lifted without dismantling of its lid. The invention is applicable to centrifuges with hydraulic controls.

  • Patent number: 4243172
Abstract: A centrifugal separator including a bowl rotatable about an axis having a bottom and a cover separated by an intermediate flange portion having an annular row of discharge openings, a hollow piston-like member in the bowl axially moveable between a position in which it is sealed against the cover and a position in which it is retracted from the cover and communicates with said discharge openings, a liquid control system for moving the piston-like member between said axial positions while the bowl is rotating, and an hydraulic seal system including an annular gutter-shaped member around the inside of said intermediate flange portion and containing a dense sealing liquid such as mercury and an annular sealing member extending from the periphery of the piston-like member into the gutter-shaped member and sealed therewith by the sealing liquid, the sealing liquid and the control liquid interfacing near the gutter-shaped member and effecting a balance therebetween due to gravitational and centrifugal forces acting

  • Patent number: 4220279
Abstract: In an installation for the centrifugal extraction of one liquid by another, of the type comprising a series of elementary machines in each of which two non-miscible liquids are conducted through a common pump, then they are separated by centrifugation and are collected in two separate collector spaces, these two liquids passing through the installation in opposite directions, at least one of the liquids leaving at least one of the machines is transferred into the collector space of the other liquid in another machine of the series.

  • Patent number: 4142669
Abstract: In a continuously operating centrifugal separator of the kind comprising a bowl which rotates at a high speed and a conveyor screw which rotates at a slightly different speed within the bowl and co-axially thereto in such manner as to move the solid phase separated against the inner wall of the bowl, towards solid discharge ports provided adjacent the smaller base of a frusto-conical end portion of the bowl, at a lower radial distance from the axis of the machine than liquid discharge ports located adjacent the periphery of the other end of the bowl and which determine the formation within the bowl of a rotating liquid mass or pond having a cylindrical inner surface, the liquid product to be treated being fed axially into an inner chamber of the hollow hub of the conveyor screw from which it flows toward the annular space provided between the said hub and the inner periphery of the bowl through generally radial feed channels located about midway of the ends of the bowl, these feed channels open substantially
