Abstract: According to one embodiment, a system includes a cabinet and an apparatus. The cabinet includes a cabinet housing, a door coupled to the cabinet housing to form a cabinet storage compartment, and a support member mounted in the cabinet storage compartment, the support member having a front surface having a first mounting element. The apparatus has a second mounting element and a locking element. The locking element is alterable between: (1) an unlocked state in which the second mounting element of the apparatus can be coupled and decoupled from the first mounting element of the support member of the cabinet; and (2) a locked state in which the second mounting element of the apparatus is prohibited from being decoupled from the first mounting element of the support member.

Abstract: A cabinet including a housing having a cavity, a door that closes a front opening of the cavity, and a storage device. The storage device may include a movable storage member that is movable relative to the housing between a first position within the cavity and a second position outside of the cavity. The movable storage member may be configured to be coupled to the housing at a plurality of different locations. The storage device may be coupled directly to an inner surface of a sidewall of the housing that defines the cavity. The storage device may also include a fixed storage member that is non-movably coupled to the housing such that the movable storage member is pivotable relative to the housing and relative to the fixed storage member.

Abstract: A lighting apparatus may include light sources. Each light source may emit a different electromagnetic radiation having a different color temperature when turned ON. The lighting apparatus may include a voltage source providing power to the light sources and a controller. The controller may turn ON and OFF each light source such that each electromagnetic radiation of each light source comprises a series of pulses. The controller may alternate between turning ON each of the light sources with a speed sufficient to cause a perception of mixing the electromagnetic radiations of the light sources, thereby causing an appearance of a perceived light having a perceived color temperature different from the color temperatures of the light sources. To ensure that only one of the light sources is ON at a time, the controller may wait a predetermined time between turning OFF a light source and turning ON a subsequent light source.

Abstract: A system that includes a cabinet and an accessory that is capable of being stored within a storage compartment of the cabinet. The cabinet may include a mirrored door having a ferromagnetic element. The accessory may include another ferromagnetic element. The accessory may be mounted to the door by magnetic attraction between the ferromagnetic elements. When the accessory is within the cabinet, it may be mounted to a charger so as to charge a power source of the accessory. In some embodiments, the accessory may be automatically transitioned into an active state when it is detected that the accessory is mounted to the door. The accessory may include a user-operated actuator that has a first functionality when the accessory is mounted to the door and a second functionality when the accessory is not mounted to the door.

Abstract: A medicine cabinet is disclosed that has electrical power. An internal raceway is provided to hide the electrical wiring for the cabinet, accommodate power cords of appliances powered by the cabinet, and to support shelving. A vertically movable front mirrored door can be raised to access the power supply and/or cabinet storage space.

Abstract: A lighting assembly is generally elongate having a base and a lens, which are configured to cooperatively define a cavity for receiving a light emitting device therein. The lens includes an inner layer and an outer layer, the inner layer being configured to diffuse light from the light emitting device passing through the lens and the outer layer being configured to change the hue of light passing through the lens. The outer layer and the inner layer are configured to provide the lens with four refractive surfaces for light passing through the lens.

Abstract: A medicine cabinet has refrigeration capability for storing sensitive bathroom items. An evaporation tray is provided to receive condensation from the refrigeration system and evaporate it to the atmosphere without disrupting ornamental characteristics. The refrigerator compartment is preferably a modular unit.

Abstract: A cabinet has a cabinet body, a door with at least one support member on a rear side of the door, and at least one hinge pivotally coupling the support member or members to cabinet body. The cabinet body includes framing walls at least partially defining a storage space of the cabinet and a flange disposed laterally outward of an adjacent framing wall. A forwardly-facing surface of the flange is rearwardly offset relative to a front face of the adjacent framing wall. When the door is in a closed position, the support member(s) and the hinge(s) establish a distance between the forwardly-facing surface of the flange and the rear side of the door.

Abstract: A support assembly for supporting a fixture on a wall comprises first and second threaded rods for installation into the wall so that at least a portion of each rod extends outwardly from the wall by a first predetermined distance. The support assembly further includes first and second fixing members each having internal threads which compliment the threads on the threaded rods. An elongated rigid support member having first and second ends, first and second lateral sides and top and bottom surfaces is provided. The support member includes a first notch in the top surface at a second predetermined distance from the first end, the first notch being sized for receiving the first fixing member therein. A first bore extends from the first end toward the second end, the first bore being located a third predetermined distance from the top surface and intersecting the first notch, the first bore being sized for receiving the first threaded rod.

Abstract: A door for a cabinet includes a frame with a first mounting surface and a second mounting surface, the first mounting surface and said second mounting surface being located on the same side of said frame. The door further includes a first mirror having a surface disposed against the first mounting surface of the frame and a second mirror having a surface disposed against the second mounting surface of the frame. In a preferred embodiment, the door includes at least one holder integrally formed with the frame, which is preferably shaped to receive and support at least one toothbrush.

Abstract: A convenience cup for holding articles within a cabinet includes a body portion having a generally cylindrical wall, at least a portion of which is generally flattened, a closed bottom portion and an open top portion defining a hollow interior portion. The convenience cup is generally circular in cross-section and has a depth suitable for holding articles. The convenience cup further includes an attachment member for the demountable attachment of the convenience cup to an integral support of the cabinet. At least one elongated strip extends outwardly generally vertically from the flattened portion of the convenience cup.

Abstract: A modular, one piece two-stepped cabinet which provides expanded storage capacity is shown. The cabinet is intended for use in the spacing between two adjacent studs in a wall. The cabinet comprises a first-step portion with lateral sides spaced to fit within a cabinet space, upper and lower sides and a rear wall. A second-step portion, integrally formed with the first, comprises lateral sides, upper and lower sides which are spaced further apart than those of the first portion, and a rear wall extending inward and joining the sides of the first portion at their forward edges. Shelves, which may be re-positionable, are provided and a mirror is provided on the rear wall of the first-step portion. In addition, a removable, re-positionable convenience cup is provided.

Abstract: A cabinet includes a cabinet body having an internal storage area for receiving items to be stored and a door casing which defines an opening for accessing the storage area. The cabinet door is pivotally mounted to the cabinet body and includes an interior surface and an exterior surface. The cabinet door pivots with respect to the cabinet body between an open and closed position. A gasket is positioned on the door casing such that the gasket substantially covers the door casing. As such, the interior surface of the cabinet door is in engagement with the gasket when the cabinet door is in the closed position.

Abstract: A spacer fills a space between two adjacent modular cabinets. Each cabinet has side walls of a predetermined length and a predetermined width and a front wall. The cabinets are arranged such that at least one of the side walls of one of the cabinets is adjacent to and spaced by a first predetermined distance from at least one of the side walls of the other cabinet. The spacer includes at least one front filler having a length generally equal to the length of the adjacent side walls of the cabinets. The front filler has a generally central portion having a width generally corresponding to the first predetermined distance. The front filler is secured to the adjacent cabinets such that the two modular cabinets and the front filler form a single unit.

Abstract: A cabinet having a quiet, frictionally adjustable door hinge is disclosed. The cabinet door can be positioned anywhere between fully opened and fully closed positions. The cabinet comprises an adjustable hinge having an expandable member which contacts a bearing surface.

Abstract: A light fixture and/or bath cabinet is provided such that the bath cabinet can be surfaced or recessed mounted. Regardless of whether the bath cabinet is surfaced or recessed mounted, side covers and members are provided for covering the mounting hardware and sides of the cabinet and light fixture to present an overall aesthetically pleasing finish. The bath cabinet and light fixture generally avoid the use of hardware by utilizing extruded members which interlock together. When the bath cabinet is recess mounted, the light fixture is secured directly to the mounting wall directly above the cabinet. On the other hand, when the bath cabinet is surface mounted to the wall, the light fixture is secured to the top of the bath cabinet by a clamping member.

Abstract: A mirror is pivotally mounted to an interior surface of a cabinet door. The mirror has a first reflective surface and a second surface. A hinge interconnects the second surface of the mirror and the interior surface of the cabinet door for allowing the mirror to pivot with respect to the interior surface between a first position wherein the second surface of the mirror is positioned proximate the cabinet door interior surface and a second position wherein the second surface of the mirror is positioned away from the cabinet door interior surface. When the mirror is in the first position the cabinet door can be closed to place the mirror out of view from the exterior of the cabinet and when the cabinet door and the mirror are in the second or open position, the mirror is positionable such that the mirror can be squarely viewed from the exterior of the cabinet.
