Abstract: A debris trap for use in a gas valve fitting is provided. The debris trap comprises an elongated body extending about a first axis. The elongated body forms a passage therein extending along the first axis between an inlet formed in a first end of the elongated body and at least one outlet formed in the elongated body. The at least one outlet is formed in a side wall of the elongated body to provide fluid communication with the passage about a second axis perpendicular to the first axis.

Abstract: A multiple-output solenoid valve for selectively distributing a gas to a plurality of burners is provided. The multiple-output solenoid valve includes a manifold and a plurality of solenoids positioned therein. The valve has a single gas input, housing defining a manifold, and a plurality of gas outputs. Each of the plurality of gas outputs is coupled with one of the plurality of burners. Each of the plurality of solenoids resides in the manifold and is individually activatable to permit expulsion of the gas from one of the plurality of gas outputs.

Abstract: Electrically operated appliance controls and methods of making the same are provided, one control comprising an electrically operated device for providing two different functions of the device, an electrically operated visual display unit, and a manually operated selector unit electrically interconnected to the device and the display unit for selecting a desired function of the device and for setting the device to provide that selected function in a desired set manner thereof as being indicated on the display unit by such operation of the selector unit. The selector unit has a manually operated start actuator which when actuated will cause the device to being to produce the selected function thereof and in that selected set manner thereof.

Abstract: A reversing valve construction having a housing carrying a movable piston-like valve member therein that controls ports of a valve seat of the housing provided with a chamber through the relative position of a cavity of the valve member relative to the ports. The ports comprise first, second and third ports disposed in spaced apart and straight line relation and the cavity bridges the first and second ports while exposing the chamber to the third port when the valve member is in one position thereof and bridges the second and third ports while exposing the chamber to the first port when the valve member is in another position thereof. A flexible sealing annular member is disposed between the valve member and the valve seat and surrounding the cavity to seal the cavity of the valve member to the valve seat while permitting sliding movement therebetween.
