Abstract: A method and system for separating component which have two opposed sides and an edge between the opposed sides and are initially connected together by a foil which contacts one of the sides of each component, by: disposing the components and the foil so that portions of the foil which are disposed between components are disposed at an elevation different from the other one of the sides of each component; disposing a scanner to monitor the elevations of the foil and the other one of the sides of each component and monitoring the elevations with the scanner; and converting the monitoring result into data for controlling cutting of the foil along the edge of each component.
Abstract: A device for aspirating coating material, such as paints, from the applicator gap between two applicator rollers provides two suction tubes, which are disposed horizontally displaceably and whose outlet ends communicate with an apparatus for generating a suction pressure as well as with in apparatus for collecting the aspirated coating material. Particularly when a photoresist is applied to a board-like substrate in the manufacture of printed circuit boards, accumulations of the coating material in the region of the edge of the substrate passing through the apparatus can be avoided without mechanically straining the applicator rollers. By means of the suction pressure apparatus, the quantity of coating material accumulating as the boards to be coated pass through the apparatus can be aspirated continuously and returned via a collection tank to the supply of coating material to be used.
Abstract: A method and device for producing multilayer printed circuit boards, under the application of heat and pressure to a stack of printed circuit boards and interposed layers of thermosetting plastic, the multilayer stack being heated in a first press to a curing temperature above the flux point of the bonding layers, then precooled under continued pressure to a transfer temperature below the flux point and transferred to a second press, where it is aftercooled under pressure to ambient temperature. The press installation of the invention includes two independently operating multi-stage presses in a common press frame. The plates of the press stages are horizontally aligned in the open position of the two presses.

Abstract: A device for controlling a heated panel press in the switchover from a contact pressure mode to a curing pressure mode, in connection with the assembly of multilayer stacks of printed circuit boards with interposed thermosetting resinous bonding layers, the device consisting essentially of a displacement transducer measuring the decrease in the stack height in terms of displacement pulses and a pulse counter and count comparator producing a switchover signal at a predetermined threshold count which reflects attainment of the flux point in the bonding layer resin. After an adjustable delay, the switchover signal is transmitted to the control unit of the press.
