Abstract: In a method for operating a radar system and a radar system for performing the method, in particular a microwave radar system for applications in or on motor vehicles, in which at least one target object and at least one possible concealing object are detected using radar technology, it is provided in particular that a detection is made of whether a concealment situation of the at least one target object by the at least one concealing object exists, and in the case of a detected concealment situation a loss of the target object is not automatically assumed.
Abstract: A detection device of a motor vehicle having a functional unit for transmitting and receiving signals. The functional unit has at least one first and one additional functional element, the signal inputs of which are subject to a comparison to determine an associative signal occurrence, and if the signals are absent in one of the functional elements, a configuration of its transmission/reception range to a road surface to be detected is performed in such a way that the corresponding functional element is forced to received signal reflections if it is functioning. A corresponding method is also provided.

Abstract: Suction jet pumps include a driving line which leads via a jet outlet into a suction chamber, where the suction chamber has a suction opening which interacts with a valve element and through which fluid is sucked into the suction chamber. The valve element together with the suction opening forms a suction valve. The suction jet pump is driven by a driving stream flowing via the driving line. The suction jet pump is arranged in a storage tank and sucks fuel out of a fuel tank into the storage tank. The driving line has a bypass opening which leads into the suction chamber and is arranged in such a manner that the bypass stream thereof acts on the valve element.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for stabilizing a controller and to the use of that method for stabilizing a controller system in an internal combustion engine. It is proposed that the stability of the controller first be established or excluded, that the control characteristic of the controller be altered and that the stability be checked again, and that those steps be repeated in a loop. For use in internal combustion engines, it is proposed that the order of precedence for the stabilization be specified and optionally made dependent on external ambient parameters.

Abstract: A door position detecting apparatus comprises a switch including a body having two electrical contacts and a through-channel. The through-channel of the switch receives a hinge pin inserted therethrough and further inserted into a door hinge. Two lever arms extend from the body. Each of the arms is attached to a respective one of the electrical contacts. The arms have a first position relative to each other wherein the contacts are electrically connected to each other, and a second position relative to each other wherein the contacts are electrically disconnected from each other. Biasing means biases the arms against a fixed door jamb and a rotatable door, respectively, such that one of the arms follows movement of the rotatable door from an open position of the door to a closed position of the door. Abstract: A capacitive differential pressure sensor is described which has a simple configuration, and which provides reliable measuring results even in corrosive measuring environments. The sensor element for capacitively measuring differential pressure includes a sensor diaphragm which is implemented in a layered configuration on a semiconductor substrate and spans a cavern. A pressure connection opens into the cavern. The sensor element also includes a measuring capacitor which has a movable electrode on the sensor diaphragm, and a stationary counter electrode which is situated on the base of the cavern, opposite from the movable electrode. According to the sensor, the cavern is filled with a dielectric fluid.
