Abstract: A method for speech recognition includes providing a source of geographical information within a vehicle. The geographical information pertains to a current location of the vehicle, a planned travel route of the vehicle, a map displayed within the vehicle, and/or a gesture marked by a user on a map. Words spoken within the vehicle are recognized by use of a speech recognition module. The recognizing is dependent upon the geographical information.

Abstract: In known devices for pumping fuel, suction jet pumps are used which are driven by the fuel flowing back from the internal combustion engine and pump fuel from a supply tank into an impoundment container of a fuel pumping unit. In known suction jet pumps, the suction power is limited by the fact that the fuel stream applies itself to the housing wall, so that the entire area of the fuel stream is no longer available for entraining fuel. The device of the invention lessens this effect by providing at least one rib between the first partial section of the fuel line and the mixing conduit.

Abstract: An improved dust collection system for a miter saw comprising a hollow dust chute attached to a bevel post of a miter saw. The dust chute comprises an input port positioned to receive saw dust resulting from a cutting operation, an exit port and a funnel body extending from the input port to the exit port. At least a portion of the funnel body extends toward an opening located in a guard of a cutting arm assembly. The cutting arm assembly is pivotably connected to the top portion of the bevel post; wherein, the dust chute remains substantially stationary, as the cutting arm assembly is moved during the cutting operation.

Abstract: A layer system is described including a silicon layer and a passivation layer which is applied at least regionally to the silicon layer's surface, the passivation layer having a first, at least largely inorganic partial layer and a second partial layer, the second partial layer being made of an organic compound including silicon or containing such a material.
