Patent number: 6855044Abstract: An improved burr for sharpening the grinding surface of a pulpstone includes a novel tooth configuration for better wear of the burr and enhanced grinding properties of the pulpstone. The profile configuration of the burr teeth has a truncated tip portion in the form of a rounded tip portion, a flat tip portion, or an obtusely angled tip portion to avoid a sharply pointed tip. The tip portion connects opposite sides of the tooth, with the sides forming either a symmetrical or an asymmetrical tooth profile using linear, convex involute, and concave involute side configurations. The present invention comprises a further improvement to a pulpstone sharpening burr, wherein the lead angle of the burr teeth changes periodically over the axial length of the burr to provide the pulpstone with a wave-like groove pattern.Type: GrantFiled: March 30, 2001Date of Patent: February 15, 2005Assignee: F.W. Roberts Manufacturing Company, Inc.Inventor: Brian A. Ruestow

Patent number: 4917355Abstract: An improved stop valve eliminates the need for O-rings and washers. The valve contains a one piece unitary stem formed of resilient compressible plastic material. The stem contains three separate seals and fits within, extends through and is moveable in a valve sleeve. Operating the handle moves the stem axially between a first axial position in which the valve is fully open and a second axial position in which the valve is fully closed. The first seal is operative to provide a seal responsive to said stem being in the first axial position, the second seal means is operative to provide a seal responsive to said stem being in the second axial position, and the third seal is operative to seal in all axial positions.Type: GrantFiled: May 22, 1989Date of Patent: April 17, 1990Assignee: Robert Manufacturing CompanyInventors: Richard C. Patent number: 4168671Abstract: A work table of the type having a primary or base table top and a secondary table top mounted by means of parallel motion mechanism on such base table top so as to be lowered from a normal working position relative to an open-arm sewing machine resting on the base table top to an open-arm working position relative to such machine and having a short supporting leg for the secondary table top, which leg is adapted to rest upon the base table top in the normal working position, is improved by making the supporting leg retractable and arranging the parallel motion mechanism so that it does not pass dead center in the raising of the secondary table top to normal working position. In this way, considerable saving in table top material is achieved and raising and lowering thereof is facilitated.Type: GrantFiled: March 6, 1978Date of Patent: September 25, 1979Assignee: Roberts Manufacturing CompanyInventors: Kent S.
