Patents Assigned to Roberts, Stephens, Van Amburg Packaging, Inc.
  • Patent number: 6010007
Abstract: A unitary fragility packaging article for packaging at least one shock sensitive item within a container having multiple panels, includes in a preferred embodiment a platform portion defining a floor for supporting at least a portion of the item and having a peripheral edge including generally parallel front and rear edges and generally parallel side edges; a plurality of ribs disposed on the platform portion to project from the floor and to divide the floor into a plurality of item-supporting cells; and at least one of the cells being provided with at least a portion of a crush depression for forming a cushion distance between the floor and an adjacent panel of the container.

  • Patent number: 5249685
Abstract: The invention provides a dissembleable and reusable package is provided for static, debris and shock sensitive objects. The package comprises a folding box of single piece static dissipative corrugated plastic interlocking configuration. The box has an interlocking bottom, an open top and two pairs of parallel opposite sides. A shock absorbing pad structure fits against the central portions of the sides. The pad structure is a solid self-skinning plastic foam which is static dissipative. It is detachably attachable against the sides utilizing fasteners. A shock absorbing plastic bottom pad fits inside of the box atop its bottom. An open top static dissipative plastic bag fits within the box atop the shock absorbing bottom pad and substantially lines the box. A sensitive object holding structure includes first and second pluralities of static dissipative corrugated plastic walls which interlock with one another, the pluralities of walls being mutually perpendicular.

  • Patent number: 5226543
Abstract: The invention provides a unitary packaging structure for a shock sensitive article. The packaging structure includes a platform portion which includes a platform portion adapted to support the article, and a sidewall structure of preferably flexible material forming an enclosure around the platform portion. The sidewall structure includes an inboard wall being integral with the platform portion, and an outboard wall maintained in spaced relationship from the inboard wall by a bridge section, the inboard wall being relatively shorter than the outboard wall so that the platform portion is held a specified cushion distance above a lower edge of the outboard wall. Shock limiting formations are formed in the sidewall structure for restricting the movement of the platform portion toward the lower edge of the outboard wall upon shock loading of the platform portion.
