Abstract: A foldable dish rack having a case including a base, a lid, and a side wall extending from the periphery of at least a portion of the base, and a mat including a plurality of projections and a first mat hinge dividing a first mat portion and a second mat portion that provides for the second mat portion to fold relative the first mat portion from a planar configuration to a folded configuration whereby the second mat portion rests flat on the first mat portion, with the lid connected to a portion of the side wall by a case hinge such that the lid is capable of converting from a closed configuration against the side walls to an open configuration approximately perpendicular to a plane of the base.

Abstract: A cake carrier having a base and a cover, the cover having a substantially rigid top portion and a substantially rigid bottom portion joined by a flexible middle portion having at least one living hinge to collapse the cake carrier from an open configuration to a collapsed configuration, and the base comprising a frame that holds a reversible insert that has a first surface including a plurality of wells and a second surface that is substantially flat. The cake carrier has a handle formed of straps attached to the frame that may be joined above the cover for carrying the cake carrier.

Abstract: A splatter screen comprising a planar member having a plurality of openings, the planar member including a first hinge dividing a first portion of the planar member and a second portion of the planar member, wherein the first hinge provides for the second portion to pivot relative to the first portion from a planer configuration to a folded configuration, the first hinge located between 10% and 40% of the distance from a first edge of the planar member to a second edge of the planar member opposite the first edge to form the second portion. The preferred splatter screen includes a second hinge separating a third portion from the first portion, to create a tri-fold splatter screen.

Abstract: A handheld having a grater panel with a bottom surface from which grated particulates emerge and a catch bin removably attached to the grater panel, the catch bin having a substantially flexible body with one or more living hinges capable of adapting the catch bin from a collapsed configuration for storage to an expanded configuration for use. The catch bin has an open top for receiving the grated particulates and may also include an open front corresponding to the handle end of the grater panel from which the grated particulates can be poured.

Abstract: A grater having a first grater panel and a second grater panel pivotally connected at the top with folding side walls connected to the sides of the first and second panels so that the grater is collapsible from a working configuration, where the bottoms of the first and second panels are set apart from each other and the side walls are unfolded, to a stored configuration, where the bottoms of the first and second panels are substantially together and the side walls are folded. A handle is placed at the top of panels and a bottom may be used to close the area between the first and second panels and the side walls.

Abstract: A whisk having a handle with a grip portion, a shaft and a hub attached to the shaft at an end opposite the grip portion, and a series of wires attached to a collar at a first end and attached to the hub at a second end, where the collar is movable along at least a portion of the handle to transform the whisk from an expanded configuration to a collapsed configuration. The second ends of the wires preferably have an angle adjacent to a pivot that attaches the second end of the wire to the hub.

Abstract: A strawberry huller for removing stems and cores from strawberries having a tubular member and a receptacle for holding a plurality of stems and cores. The tubular member has a first end with a cutting edge for cutting the stems and cores from a strawberry, a second end for delivering the removed stems and cores to the receptacle 6 and a through aperture. The receptacle preferably includes a receptacle body and a cover over an opening for emptying the stems and cores from the receptacle, where the opening is independent of the through aperture of the tubular member.
