Abstract: A fluidic device comprising a first region within the wall of the fluidic device comprising a lattice of a plurality of struts positioned in layers forming a network of pores wherein the struts in the first layer are separated from the struts in a third layer by struts in a second layer which are arranged at an angle to the struts in the first layer and the third layer and wherein the struts in the third layer and the first layer are offset in spacing and wherein the struts within a layer are separated from an adjacent strut within the layer by a space such that channels having a tortuous pathway of interconnecting pores is formed; and a second region comprising one or more channels formed within the wall of the device wherein the second region is positioned at the fluidic inlet side, the fluidic outlet side or both.
