The polymer material has at least one additive andremains substantially inert during a recrystallization process. The down-hole cable apparatus is subjected to an operational catalyst, during which time the polymer material having the at least one additive remains substantially inert. The inertia prevents linear separation of at least one of the at least one conductor and the armor shell from the metal.
