Patents Assigned to Rockenfeller KG
  • Patent number: 5123791
Abstract: A rock anchor adapted to be mounted in a bore opening at a rock face has a sleeve extending along a sleeve axis and having a body extending along an axis and having an inner end remote from the rock face and an inside surface and an outer end formed with a large-diameter head adapted to lie against the rock face. A wedge in the sleeve at the inner end has a flank extending at an acute angle to the axis. This wedge is fixed in the sleeve against axial movement therein. A drive pin engageable axially in the sleeve has a point engageable between the wedge flank and the inside surface of the sleeve so that when the sleeve is forcibly driven axially into the sleeve its point engages between the flank and the inside surface and plastically deforms the inside surface outward into tight engagement with the rock.

  • Patent number: 4930963
Abstract: A wall plug anchor assembly is provided including a sleeve, a spherical body for flaring anchoring ends of the sleeve which body is inserted from a head end of the sleeve into an unslotted portion thereof, and a driver. By means of the driver, the spherical body is forced forward against concrete material which has entered into the sleeve interior. The operative end of the driver includes a wedge surface by and over which the spherical body can be laterally displaced away from a central axis of the sleeve in a direction of the sleeve walls in a wedge-induced or clamping movement.

  • Patent number: 4906149
Abstract: The wall plug anchor assembly is applicable to heavy-duty and reinforced concrete and the like, of a construction component such as a wall and the like environments. The wall plug anchor assembly includes a metallic sleeve having a head of a respectively greater diameter than the sleeve body, of a metallic material, such as a plastically deformable steel of German steel quality ST 34 or ST 37, and wedge means for permanently modifying the sleeve at a location remote from the crown end thereof, particularly to permanently modify the transverse cross-sectional dimension of the sleeve, for example to enlarge the diameter by plastic deformation of the sleeve walls.

  • Patent number: 4727693
Abstract: The apparatus for anchoring a traction member comprises an anchoring body which is a molded piece with a transverse cross section small compared to its longitudinal cross section and an insertable guiding rod couplable detachably with the anchoring body and alignable longitudinally with the anchoring body. An attaching piece for the traction member is mounted laterally on the anchoring body with spacing from both ends of it. To provide an easier removal of an anchoring apparatus erroneously inserted in the ground the anchoring body is provided with a cutter like tapered front end and simultaneously on a rear end a sectioning for nonrotatable engagement with the insertable guiding rod. The attaching piece for the traction member is mounted between the center of gravity of the anchoring body and the cutter like tapered front end and comprises a shackle, a ring loop or a chain link engaged pivotally in a passage through the anchoring body.

  • Patent number: 4727694
Abstract: An apparatus for anchoring a traction member comprising an anchoring element which is a molded piece with a transverse cross section small compared to the longitudinal cross section thereof and an insertable guiding rod couplable detachably with the anchoring element and alignable longitudinally with it. An attaching piece for the traction member is mounted laterally on the anchoring element with spacing from both ends of it. An anchoring body of the anchoring element is provided with a cutter like tapered front end and on a rear end has a sectioning for nonrotatable engagement with the insertable guiding rod. The attaching piece for the traction member is mounted between the center of gravity of the anchoring body and the front end of the anchoring body. At and/or near the attaching piece for the traction member an arm is mounted so as to be limitedly pivotable the rear end of which is associated with the rear end of the anchoring body.

  • Patent number: 4718802
Abstract: A plasterboard, boat, flooring underlayment or like ridged nail is provided with a taper of its sawtooth profile toward the point of the nail. The crests of the ridges can lie along one imaginary cone converging toward the point while the roots of the ridges lie along another imaginary cone equidistant from the first or converging toward the crest cone in the direction of the point. Steep-pitch helical flutes can be provided along the sawtooth portion especially when the nail is to be driven in hard materials.

  • Patent number: 4706345
Abstract: The clamping device for an elongate, continuous traction member, particularly for a rope, cable, cord, belt, strand or the like, comprises an oblong body composed of an at least nearly rigid material and at least two clamping pieces, advantageously hook-, eye- or eyelet bolts, guided transversely in the oblong body and spaced from each other which are movable by a wing nut and which each contain a receiving portion, advantageously a hook, eye or eyelet, for engaging and holding the traction member which is positionable against abutting surfaces of the oblong body. The oblong body is a massive block provided at least on opposing ends thereof with rounded surfaces and in which guiding surfaces, abutting surfaces for the clamping pieces and supporting and/or bearing surfaces for the wing nuts engaged with the clamping pieces are formed.

  • Patent number: 4572720
Abstract: Disclosed is a wood screw with a head separated from a threaded extremity by an unthreaded shank whose diameter is less than the outer diameter and only slightly larger than the root diameter of the thread. A cylindrical or tapering neck inserted between the head and the shank has a diameter, at least in the immediate vicinity of the head, equaling the outer thread diameter. The threaded extremity terminates in a pyramidal tip with three or four sides, at least one edge of the pyramid being notched by an extension of the thread groove to act as a spur in cutting a bore ahead of the advancing screw thread. The turns of the thread, in one embodiment, have leading flanks merging into or overhung by rounded ridges enabling the screw to be hammered into a substrate of natural wood or particle-board composition.
