Abstract: Described is a system for latency-independent automated image capture. The system includes a sensor network, camera control system, cognitive trigger system, orchestration engine, and hierarchical architecture. Sensor nodes detect events and transmit trigger signals with confidence metrics. The camera system maintains pre-event frame recording, executing capture commands to store both pre- and post-event frames. The system supports simultaneous control of heterogeneous cameras through abstracted interfaces. Cognitive triggers use trainable pattern recognition to reduce false positives. The orchestration engine enables both reactive and predictive multi-camera control based on logical sensor combinations. Hierarchical architecture allows scaling from single-camera setups to multi-zone deployments. By using pre-event buffer recording, the system captures moments that occur before commands are processed, eliminating the impact of latency.
