Abstract: The invention relates to a packing- and/or transport unit comprising several fibrous insulation elements (4, 5) for flat roof insulation being arranged in at least one stack (2) and at least one support means (3) being arranged under the stack (2), whereby the stack (2) contains at least two different types of insulation elements (4, 5), which differ with respect to the material properties. A packing- and/or transport unit which is easy to handle and which allows to arrange most of the materials close to the places where it is needed is achieved in that the stacked insulation elements (4, 5) comprise lamellas (4) and/or lamella boards having a high compression strength but low point load resistance due to their fiber orientation and at least one insulation board (5) having an even higher compression strength and high point load resistance.
Abstract: A building facade consisting of a building wall, an insulating layer comprising insulating elements, having a surface and disposed on the building wall, a facade cladding which is disposed at a distance from the building wall and from the insulating layer to form a rearventilation gap between insulating layer and facade cladding and a lock element provided for fire protection, which is disposed between neighboring insulating elements of the insulating layer. In order to further develop a building facade in such a manner that it can be manufactured simply and therefore cost-effectively without additional structural elements being provided, the invention proposes a generic building facade where the lock element is formed in one piece from fiber material, extends over the surface of the insulating layer in the direction of the facade cladding and exhibits a compressibility and/or flexibility aligned at least predominantly between building wall and facade cladding.

Abstract: The present invention concerns a method of making a mineral melt by burning combustible material in the presence of inorganic particulate material and thereby forming a melt, comprising injecting fuel, particulate mineral material and combustion gas into a circulating combustion chamber (1) through an inlet conduit (4) and combusting the fuel in the circulating combustion chamber (1) thereby melting the mineral material to form a mineral melt and generating exhaust gases; separating the exhaust gases from the mineral melt, collecting the mineral melt (9) and passing the exhaust gases upwards through an exhaust pipe (10) to a conduit (11) of a heat exchange system; and supplying particulate mineral material and a first portion of waste mineral wool into the conduit (11) and pre-heating the supplied material in the heat exchange system, and supplying a second portion of waste mineral wool with a water content between 5 and 25% by weight directly to the inlet conduit (4).
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for manufacturing an insulating composite containing mineral fibers, aerogel and binder. This method implies the step of suspending the fiber webs and aerosol in an air flow thereby disentangling the fiber webs and mixing fibers, aerosol and eventually binder homogeneously. The apparatus described combines spinning of the fibers, collecting them as webs, disentangling the fiber webs in suspended air, mixing the fibers with aerogel and cement as well as pressing and curing the mixture to a consolidated product of density 150 to 800 kg/m3.
