Patents Assigned to Rodi & Wienenberger
  • Patent number: 6442970
Abstract: An expandable bracelet composed of two layers of links placed on top of each other and cover elements which can be placed on and removed from an associated link of the upper layer of the bracelet by elastic deformation. Clip elements at the ends of each cover element cover the ends of the links at least essentially. The mechanical function portion of the bracelet is covered from the direction of the ends by this arrangement of the cover, and a visually closed appearance of the bracelet is achieved. The application of the cover element also assures a blocking effect on the links of the bracelet when lateral forces appear, so that an unintentional separation of the links is prevented.

  • Patent number: 4541151
Abstract: An articulated watch band provided with a catch mechanism interconnected by hinge joints is disclosed. One catch part is formed with a recess and the other part is formed with an extension snugly fitting the recess. To secure the extension in position within the recess, the extension is provided at its lower side with a stop plate and at its upper side with a movable arresting plate corresponding in shape to the outline of the extension, so that upon angular displacement of the upper plate or upon shifting the same in longitudinal direction of the strap, the plate overlaps the rims of the recess in the receiving catch part and prevents the displacement of the extension in vertical direction relative to its upper surface. Hinge joints of the strap include hinge tubes which are secured to the associated links or catch parts by laser-beam welding.

  • Patent number: 4510746
Abstract: A flexible band, in particular a wrist-watch strap, has an upper and a lower layer of link members which are connected to each other by U-shaped clips. The clips cooperate with leaf springs located in the link members in such a manner that the flexures of the clips are in engagement with the flexures of the leaf springs provided at the respective ends. The inner sides of the link members are provided in addition to a recess arranged at each end face thereof with cut-outs through which the flexures of the leaf springs can protrude during stretching of the band.

  • Patent number: 4417821
Abstract: A wrist watch, particularly a water-tight wrist watch, has upper and lower housing parts, a watch mechanism received in the lower housing part, a watch glass, a dial member, a spacer member, and an elastic element in the lower housing part arranged so that the upper housing part presses the watch mechanism via the watch glass, the spacer member and the dial member against the elastic element. The upper housing part has a collar extending over the spacer member and lying on a step portion of the watch glass.

  • Patent number: 4330905
Abstract: An adjustable deployment band comprising two watch band halves and a foldable closure member including a lower closure part to which one of the watch band halves is adjustably connected, an upper closure part to which one end of the other watch band is connected, and a folding part connecting the upper and the lower closure part for movement between an open and a closed position in which the closure parts interengage superimposed with each other to form a closed very shallow housing in which one end portion of the one watch band half and the folding part and the fastening member are located.

  • Patent number: 3965670
Abstract: An expansion bracelet, particularly for wrist-watches, has a row of connected links. Each of these links has a plate member, a pair of solid outer members connected to said plate member at opposite lateral sides thereof, as seen with respect to the elongation of the row, and a solid inner member which is located between the outer members and partly projects beyond them in longitudinal direction of the row. The inner member has an underside which faces towards the plate member and is provided with a pair of transversely extending channels. A pair of substantially C-shaped brackets are provided, each having a bight portion pivotably received in one of the channels, and a pair of leg portions. The leg portions of one of the brackets are pivotably connected to the plate member so that this one bracket can be tilted longitudinally of the row out from between the outer members of the link. A pair of biassing springs are provided, each surrounding one of the bight portions.
