Patents Assigned to Rohner AG Pratteln
  • Patent number: 4369040
Abstract: The dispersion contains(a) from 30 to 60% by weight of one or more active ingredients having a mean particle size of less than 5.mu.,(b) from 0.1 to 5% by weight of one or more water-soluble homopolymers or copolymers of a N-vinyl-lactam,(c) from 0.1 to 5% by weight of one or more anionic compounds devoid of dispersant character,(d) from 0 to 30% by weight of one or more humectants and(e) water. The active ingredient is sparingly soluble or insoluble in water. The copolymer may be derived from two or more different N-vinyl-lactams or from one or more N-vinyl-lactams and one or more other compounds copolymerizable therewith. The anionic compound or compounds is or are chosen from the group comprising water-soluble alkali metal salts or ammonium salts of aromatic monosulfonic acids, disulfonic acids and trisulfonic acids, which acids may be substituted by alkyl groups of at most 8 carbon atoms or by a cycloalkyl group of at most 6 carbon atoms.

  • Patent number: 4340531
Abstract: Highly concentrated, finely dispersed, dispersant-poor or dispersant-free preparation of active substances in solid form hardly soluble to insoluble in water, dispersible in aqueous media, process for making these preparations and applications of same. The preparation contains:(a) 40 to 90% by weight of at least one active substance hardly soluble or insoluble in water with a mean particle size less than 5 microns,(b) 10 to 60% by weight of at least one water-soluble salt of an acid resin, and(c) 0 to 50% by weight of further additions such as dispersants, wetting agents or diluents or a mixture of these. The preparation is finely disperse and in the form of a powder or granulate. The preparation can be made as follows:(a) a mixture of active substance(s) and water-insoluble acid resin is treated with a solution of alkalies or amines in water or solvents and the liquid then is removed.(b) a mixture of active substance(s) and water-insoluble acid resin is exposed to the vapors of ammonia or volatile amines.

  • Patent number: 4245993
Abstract: The dispersions contain(a) 30 to 60% by weight of a diazotizable aromatic amine bearing electrophilic substituents and having an average particle size below 10 .mu.m (microns),(b) 0.1 to 5% by weight of a water-soluble polymer or copolymer of an N-vinyl-lactam,(c) 0.1 to 5% by weight of an anionic dispersing agent,(d) 0 to 30% by weight of at least one hydrotropic compound and/or at least one compound which lowers the freezing point and(e) water. The dispersions can be prepared by wet-grinding of the components. They can be used to produce azopigments in substance or azodyestuffs on textile substrates. Their diazotization proceeds very quickly and completely.

  • Patent number: 4226596
Abstract: The unions consist of a mixture of fibers which can be colored with disperse dyestuffs and fibers which can be colored with reactive dyestuffs. A printing paste containing:(a) at least one finely dispersed, water-insoluble azo dye-stuff of the formula: ##STR1## (b) at least one reactive dyestuff and (c) at least one non-ionic surfactant is used. The azo dyestuff of formula I is not prepared in the printing paste. It has a melting point between 220.degree. and 300.degree. C. In the formula, A, D and R have the meanings given in claim 1.In this way, prints are obtained, from which the non-fixed dyestuffs can easily be washed out and which have an excellent white ground. The build-up and fastness properties are good. The prints are very brilliant and deep in color, in particular in the field of orange and red shades.

  • Patent number: 4115055
Abstract: Mixtures of at least two water-insoluble monoazo dyestuffs of the formula: ##STR1## wherein D is the residue of a diazo component of the benzene series free from sulphonic acid and carboxyl groups which may be substituted with one or more optionally substituted alkyl, alkoxy, alkoxyalkyl, acyloxy, alkylcarbonyl and/or alkoxycarbonyl groups and/or one halogen atom, R is hydrogen, halogen or an optionally substituted alkoxy group and A is an aromatic radical which may be substituted with one or two optionally substituted alkyl and/or alkoxy groups and/or one halogen atom, can be used for the coloration of textile materials consisting at least partly of linear, aromatic polyesters. The melting points of these mixtures are lower than those of their individual dyestuff components, preferably lower than 200.degree. or 180.degree. C.
