Patents Assigned to Ronald R. Moody
  • Patent number: 4106769
Abstract: There is disclosed a non-rebounding article having a thin walled container with a region of uniform thickness located adjacent the interior surface thereof adapted to receive a flexible material distributed therein, the container having an interior volume centrally located therein into which the flexible material is free to move upon impact of the container with an exterior object and a flexible material substantially located within the region of uniform thickness, the flexible material contacting the interior surface of the container and substantially being free to move away from an initial position adjacent the interior surface upon impact of the container with an exterior object whereby forces tending to cause the container to rebound from the impact with the exterior object are absorbed, the flexible material having a structural memory to substantially return it to the initial position adjacent the interior surface after the impact.

  • Patent number: 4045027
Abstract: There is disclosed an elongated member having two ends and a surface therebetween over which a body may be directed, the surface containing a center line of symmetry along the length thereof and being progressively curved along the center line with a radius of curvature adjacent one end gradually increasing in magnitude to a larger radius of curvature adjacent the other end such that the curvature adjacent the other end substantially approximates the path of the body in motion which may be intercepted by the elongated member and which curvature progressively increases from the other end to the one end to smoothly deflect and change the direction of the intercepted body from the original path.
