    Abstract: A system to completely measure multiple densities in varying levels in tanks or vessels. The present invention provides a multiplicity of aligned sources and separate aligned detectors, the combination aligned sources and separate detectors are positioned horizontally relative to each other at varying vertical tank levels, each combination separate source and aligned detector at each measuring level in the tank provide continuous density data at each level. The sources and separate detectors are placed in a vertically aligned array in the separation tank near the weir, with each individual source and separate detector aligned with a given level.

    Abstract: A system to completely measure multiple densities in varying levels in tanks or vessels. The present invention provides an individual sensor at each measuring level in the tank, each sensor provided with electronic data to provide continuous density data at leach level. Each sensor is individually placed in the sensor array. If a sensor malfunctions, the individual sensor can be replaced without interrupting the data transmissions or requiring a shutdown of the system to remove the single row array of sensors which are placed together as in the prior art. Each sensor also includes a cooling pipe to cool components with recirculating water.

Outer surfaces of the flexible tube (12) may be covered with an inwardly-facing light reflective material (30) and/or light-excluding material or flexible armored casing(22). The scintillator (18) may include a variable-volume expansion chamber (110, 152, 176) to compensate for thermal expansion and contraction of the liquid scintillator material (16).

    Abstract: A method of making permanent drawings and markings on a mosaic tile having a grid frame with a plurality of replaceable plastic tiles or tiles made of polycarbonate material. The method comprises the steps of providing a plurality of separate and replaceable tiles on a grid frame of the mosaic tile; providing an ink-jet printer having an ultraviolet stable ink; spraying the ultraviolet stable ink out from the ink-jet printer onto the plurality of replaceable tiles of the mosaic tile to form an image, and exposing an ultraviolet light on the image to cure the ultraviolet stable ink onto the plurality of replaceable tiles of the mosaic tile. The method further comprises the step of replacing an old tile with a new tile having the same marking or new markings as the old file. The method causes the ink to be embedded onto the files and remain in a very permanent state.

    Abstract: A continuous casting mold comprises a mold tube encased in a water jacket. A radioactive source on one side of the mold tube and scintillation crystal detector on the opposite side of the mold tube are employed to gauge the level of the molten metal in the tube. The amount of radioactive source material is maintained at an inherently safe level by disposing the source material in one or more recesses in the wall of the mold tube and by employment of a "gel" light tube connection between the scintillation crystal and a photomultiplier.
