Abstract: A cover for a sliding roof system comprises at least one reinforcing element which has a U-shaped cross-section and has its center leg attached to the cover such that the two side legs extend away from the cover. A sliding roof system provided with a cover of this type is distinguished in that it comprises a sliding/tilting mechanism including a fold-out sliding piece, the sliding piece being movably arranged on the guide rail.

Abstract: A sliding roof sunshade assembly for a vehicle has a sunshade element which can be moved in opening direction and a closing direction. The sunshade element has a bow at a free front end. At least one force-transmitting drive element is connected to the bow and to a drive in order to move the sunshade element into a closed setting, with the front end of the sunshade element assuming a predetermined closed position in the closed setting. At least one elastic intermediate element is arranged in a force flow between the drive and the front end of the sunshade element. Once the front end of the sunshade element has reached the closed position, the drive moves the drive element onward into a predetermined end setting in which the intermediate element is elastically deformed. The predetermined end setting corresponds to a position in which the elastic intermediate element is compressed by an amount within a predetermined tolerance path.

Abstract: A sliding roof system is described including a guide rail, an adjustable cover, a bearing block mounted to the guide rail, a side panel one end of which is mounted to the bearing block by means of a slotted guide, and a spring which urges the end of the side panel facing away from the bearing block against the cover. Further described is a method of controlling the lifting movement of a side panel of a sliding roof system, in which when the cover of the sliding roof system is adjusted to a ventilating position, the rear end of the side panel follows the opening movement of the cover while the front end performs a lift that is smaller than the lift of the cover, the side panel being shifted forward relative to the cover at the same time.

Abstract: A sliding roof system, in particular for motor vehicles, with at least one guide rail, a carriage which is shiftable in the guide rail, a guide element located at the front, which can cooperate with a cover of the sliding roof, and a swing-out lever located at the rear, which likewise can cooperate with the cover and can be moved by the carriage from a starting position into a position swung out, is wherein the swing-out lever is mounted on the guide rail with a fixed swivel axis and that at least in the starting position the end of the swing-out lever associated to the cover lies on the side of the swivel axis facing the carriage.
