Abstract: The extraction is described of a substance endowed with antiinflammatory and platelet antiaggregation activity, starting from the juice of plants of the species Ananas, Bromelia, Karatas, etc. of the family Bromeliaceae, or extractable from their derivatives such as bromelain. The extraction may be made by means of thermo-coagulation or precipitation by trichloracetic acid, starting both from raw juices obtained from their roots or from the fruits, and from previously isolated bromelain.
Abstract: The present invention is concerned with new derivatives of the cortisone series having in particular a corticoidal, anti-phlogistic and anti-anaphylactic activity. The compounds of the present invention are represented by the formula: ##STR1## in which: St is a radical selected from 9-chloro-11.beta.,17,21-trhihydroxy-16.beta.-methyl-pregna-1,4 diene-3,20 dione and 9-fluoro-11.beta.,17,21 -trihydroxy-16-.alpha.-methyl-pregna-1,4 diene-3,20 dione, the ester linkage being at position 21 of the steroid group.
