Abstract: A revocable or modifiable document is affixed with a unique identification that is stored in a database with a status indicator. The principal who executed the document may be able to monitor and change the status indicator. A third party who might rely on the document may query the database to ensure the status of the document prior to accepting the document at face value. In some cases, a system may monitor queries made by third parties and enable the principal or their representative to monitor any activities related to the document.
