    Abstract: A lamp holder comprising an insulated casing formed in two halves between and by which are located and clamped a mounting socket to receive the base or cap of a lamp. A pair of contacts is associated with said socket and a mounting stirrup cooperates with the casing to permit pivotal movement of the casing relative to the stirrup about an axis transverse and preferably perpendicular to the axis of the mounting socket.
