Patents Assigned to Roth + Weber GmbH
  • Patent number: 10551769
Abstract: A color printing unit includes one printing station for each color along with one anode roller. A continuous transfer belt is guided over a deflection roller and a control roller. One or more sensors measure a property of reference markings printed on the transfer belt. A control device for controlling and adjusting the transfer belt acts on the control roller through an actuating motor as a function of the detected properties of the reference markings. The one or more sensors are arranged in the area of the control roller for the transfer belt, by which an additional tension roller saves costs and space. During the measurement, at least for the period in which the printed reference markings pass under the one or more sensors, relative movements between the one or more sensors and the control roller are ruled out.

  • Patent number: 9957130
Abstract: A method for folding paper by means of a folding machine having a folding station, wherein a portion of a paper web (9) supplied to same is firstly folded in a first stack (10) containing continuous sheets and, after reaching a threshold value of the thus-created first stack (10), moved into a stacker (15) and thus remains in contact, via a folded stacking area (12) with a further portion of the paper web (9), wherein a section of the folded stacking area (12) serves as basis for a further subsequent stack of continuous sheets to be folded thereupon. Such method is intended to be developed such that only the smallest possible loops are required.

  • Patent number: 9007665
Abstract: Documents in a large-format scanning system are scanned by coarsely recognizing longitudinal or transverse transition regions between a reflector roller and a document by the substeps of dividing the scanning image transversely into uniform image strips, determining statistical parameters for each image strip, examining the scanning image in the image strips with fixed threshold values for deviations such that, if a value of one the statistical parameters of an image strip exceeds the threshold value, this region is recognized as being a transverse transition region between the reflector roller and the document, and examining the image strips to determine the longitudinal transition region by line-by-line generation of an average value and determining sufficiently strong and steep edges, the image strips being rotated incrementally from the transverse of the document to an acute angle.

  • Patent number: 8824023
Abstract: The invention relates to a scanning method for a large-size scanner system (1) comprising at least two image detection elements (2) that are used for scanning a large-size original (4) to be scanned and are arranged in a cascaded manner so as to have at least one overlapping area (13, 14).

  • Patent number: 8817340
Abstract: The invention relates to a large-format scanning system (1) comprising at least two image acquisition elements (2) in a cascade arrangement, at least one platen, preferably a glass plate (3), arranged upstream thereof, and at least two reflector rolls (5) arranged opposite the at least two image acquisition elements (2) in a cascade arrangement, said reflector rolls being pressed against the glass plate (3) and/or a copy (4) to be scanned by means of resilient elements (6) that are arranged at the sides of the reflector rolls (5). According to the invention, the side portions (7) of the reflector rolls (5) are designed such that they touch the glass plate (3) only outside the reading area of the image acquisition elements (2) for the copy to be scanned (4) and that the copy to be scanned (4) rests on the glass plate (3) in the center area (8) of the reflector rolls (5).

  • Patent number: 8743429
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for reproducing images that can be found on originals, comprising at least one image capturing element that lies in a housing (1) and comprising a translucent panel (4) which lies between the image capturing element and the original and which is retained on the housing (1), said original being transportable on the panel for reproduction on the image capturing element. The essentially rectangular panel is retained on the housing at only two of the opposing edges (3, 5) of said panel. The first support for one of the edges (3) consists of at least one spring clip (2, 2?, 2?, 2??), and the spring clip preloads the panel against the second support (6) for the opposing edge (5) of the panel. The panel (4) is associated with a handle (7, 7?), by means of which the panel can be manually moved out of the second support against the preload of the spring clip.
