  • Patent number: 4743429
Abstract: Oxygen generator for cartridges, having a pressure tank and a cartridge holder connected thereto. The cartridge holder is divided by a gas-tight separable joint into two halves, and its interior is in communication through an opening with the interior of the pressure tank. To maintain functionality over a long period of time, the bottom half of the cartridge holder is joined to the pressure tank with good thermal conductivity in the area of the separable joint and is in communication with the pressure tank through an unplugged opening which is narrow in proportion to the inside cross section of the lower half. Further, the upper half of the cartridge holder is superimposed on the bottom half directly at the top of the pressure tank and is provided with a cooling structure.

  • Patent number: 4447926
Abstract: The invention concerns a pipe cleaning machine for rotating cleaning spirals of different diameters. To adapt the container for the cleaning spiral and the machine to cleaning spirals of different diameters with a minimum of accessories, the container for the cleaning spirals is made in a known manner in the form of a guide hose, but the inside diameter of the guide hose and of its coupling to the machine is equal to or greater than the inside diameter of the hollow shaft parts of the machine which receive the cleaning spirals and a collet for adapting the machine and the guide hose to different cleaning spiral diameters is removably mounted in the coupling.

  • Patent number: 4446620
Abstract: The invention relates to a tube cutter, especially for plastic tubes, which comprises a housing that can surround the tube and having a rotation guide gripping the tube. The tube cutter has a cutting tool which can be sunk into the outer surface of the tube, having a lengthwise guide and a tool holder movable therein. The cutting tool has a cutting edge which runs at an angle to the direction of movement of the tool holder and lies substantially in a plane passing through the rotational axis. By these means it is possible to produce bevels with the cutting edge.

  • Patent number: 4355528
Abstract: A bending device for metal pipe with and without plastic jacketing has a short cylindrical segment including a circumferential groove which determines the bending radius of the pipe to be bent and a support for holding the pipe to be bent tangentially with respect to the groove. A lever is mounted for concentric pivotable movement about the segment and a pressing block is mounted on the lever for pivotal movement about an axis parallel to the segment axis. The pressing block has a working surface which has an approximately semicircular, concave cross section in a plane disposed parallel to the pivot axis of the pressing block and the segment axis and a concave cross section in a plane disposed perpendicular to those axes.

  • Patent number: 4178786
Abstract: A necking-out tool for forming cylindrical nipples or necks on the circumferential surface of pipelines, containers and the like. The tool is provided with a screw plug having a hook-shaped forming head and a thrust sleeve fitted with a coaxial downholder flange cooperating with the forming head and the screw plug. The thrust sleeve has a hollow cylindrical interior corresponding to the forming head for the reception of the formed neck. A holding appliance resembling tongs is connected to the downholder flange and the thrust sleeve by a hinge. The holding appliance is adapted to be applied at right angles or from the side of the pipeline. One jaw of the tongs terminates at the hinge and the other jaw forms a trough-shaped support for the pipeline on the side opposite the hinge.

  • Patent number: 4154083
Abstract: An expanding head for pipe end enlarging tools which have a tool body including a cylindrical end portion and a removable mandrel having a tapered end extending through the cylindrical end portion of the body and axially movable therein. The expanding head comprises a plurality of exchangeable segmental expanding elements each having a flange segment which together form a radially outwardly extending annular flange. The segments are connected together to unite them as a self-contained set and for radial movement in response to axial movement of the mandrel when in use. The segments are connected by a spring element which surrounds the segments at the annular flange and clamps them against each other and against the mandrel. The segments are removably connected to the cylndrical portion of the tool body without detachment of the spring element to maintain the segments in the self-contained set.
