    Abstract: A tobacco smoke filter element for use in cigarettes, cigarette holders, cigar holders or pipes is formed from a bonded non-woven fabric composed wholly or partly of wool fibers. It is preferred that the content of wool fibers shall be as high as is economically feasible. It is preferred that in the case of a filter for a cigarette the filter is made by converting a web of bonded non-woven fabric to a filter rod of substantially circular cross-section.
