Abstract: The invention relates to a method for operating a rotational molding apparatus that comprises a rotatably mounted rotational-molding mold holder having a rotational-molding mold. The method is characterised in that a trajectory of a reference point of a component for a rotation process, in particular a component of the rotational-molding mold holder or the rotational-molding mold, which component rotates during a rotation process, is selected from one of a plurality of possible trajectories that can be achieved by the rotational molding apparatus, and in that a rotation process is subsequently performed in which rotational-molding material introduced into the rotational-molding mold accumulates on the inner face of the rotational-molding mold and in which the reference point moves along the determined trajectory.
Abstract: The invention relates to a spherical receiving device for receiving at least one rotational mold, which is configured and intended to be driven to rotate in a rotational device by means of a drive wheel rolling on the outer side of the spherical receiving device. The spherical receiving device is distinguished by the fact that it has at least one guiding device which causes a drive wheel rolling on the outer side of the spherical receiving device to follow a predetermined rolling path on the outer side of the spherical receiving device. The invention also relates to a rotational device which has such a spherical receiving device and a drive wheel which is driven by means of a drive motor, said drive wheel rolling on the outer side of the spherical receiving device and driving the spherical receiving device to rotate.
Abstract: A rotation apparatus for rotationally molded shaped objects includes a receiving apparatus for receiving at least one negative mold, a holding apparatus for holding the receiving apparatus, and a drive unit for driving rotary motion of the receiving apparatus, wherein the receiving apparatus (1) is embodied as a sphere. The holding apparatus includes at least one support and guidance element (5) for supporting and guiding the receiving apparatus. The drive unit includes a drive element (9) that is arranged in the rotation apparatus and is connected in energy-transferring fashion to the receiving apparatus (1) to cause the sphere to rotate.
