Abstract: A rotary electric shaver includes a handle assembly having a housing, a motor disposed in the housing, a drive shaft operatively connected to the motor and extending through the housing, and a socket for securing a shaver head thereto. The shaver head assembly includes a coupling for detachable coupling to the socket. The coupling is configured to allow the shaver head to be detachably coupled to the handle assembly in at least two different orientations of the shaver head relative to the handle assembly.
Abstract: An electric hair trimmer generally includes a handle, a drive system, and a cutter head. The cutter head includes a stationary blade and a movable blade, and the cutter head is releasably connectable to the handle in operative connection with the drive system. The handle is configured for ejecting the cutter head.
Abstract: An inner cutter for a rotary shaver generally includes a blade having a base plate and a plurality of fingers unitarily formed with and bent upwardly relative to the base plate. Each of the fingers includes a front surface, a back surface opposite the front surface, and a top surface extending from the front surface to the back surface. The front surface and the top surface define a cutting edge, and the front surface has a curvilinear profile portion beneath the cutting edge.
Abstract: A blade for an inner cutter of a rotary shaver generally includes an annular base plate and a plurality of cutting units spaced about the base plate. Each of the cutting units has a pair of generally radially spaced-apart cutting edges and an orientation axis. The orientation axes define a plurality of differently angled spaces about the blade.
Abstract: A cleaning system for an electric shaver having a body and a shaving head generally includes a cradle configured to receive the shaving head of the shaver, and a reservoir positioned beneath the cradle and configured to retain cleaning fluid therein. The cleaning system also includes a drive assembly operable to move the reservoir between a raised position and a lowered position. In the raised position, the reservoir is positioned relative to the cradle such that at least a portion of the shaving head is submerged in cleaning fluid within the reservoir. In the lowered position, the reservoir is positioned relative to the cradle such that no portion of the shaving head is submerged in cleaning fluid.
