Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for determining a preference of a user for or against a participant of an event when a media asset relating to the event is being played based on monitoring user reactions to the event. Specifically, the media guidance application may detect a change of at least one of the biometric state (e.g., pulse rate, blood pressure, etc.) and physiological state (e.g., facial expression, gesture, body movement, etc.) with a user. The media guidance application may determine that an event has occurred within the sporting event that triggered the change. The media guidance application may determine that the user favors the first participant over the second participant, if the user reacts positively towards a score for the first participant in the event.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein for allowing a user to grant or deny a third party access to different portions of the user's profile characteristics. Control circuitry may calculate an optimal promotion offer from a third party to a user based on a first layer of the user's profile characteristics matching a target-audience profile of the third party. Control circuitry may then generate for display the optimal promotion offer to the user. In response to receiving a selection of the optimal promotion offer from the user, control circuitry may receive further selections, from the user, of a subset of the user's profile characteristics to share with the third party, and then generate for display, to the user, an actual promotion offer based on the selected subset of profile characteristics.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein for a media guidance application that recommends media content to a user based on the media content likely to be available to a user at a given location or on a given device. The media guidance application may also automatically determine the given location or given device based on a current trajectory of the user, and recommend a media asset from the media content available at that location or on that device. Moreover, in order to recommend content having the greatest interest to a user at a particular time, the media guidance application bases the recommendations it is providing on content recently consumed by the user on a first device.

Abstract: Methods and devices for presenting an interactive media guidance application are provided. In some embodiments, methods for presenting an interactive media guidance application in a user equipment device are provided, the methods comprising: determining a location of the user equipment device; determining a destination of the user equipment device; determining an arrival time for the user equipment device to be located at the destination; selecting, as guide listings, listings corresponding to media available at the destination at/after the arrival time; and presenting the guide listings on the user equipment device.
