Abstract: A poultry feeding system includes walls which together delimit a feeding space which at its upper side is accessible for poultry via a feeding opening. A feed supply is provided for supplying feed at an inlet position into the feeding space, such that poultry is able to pick feed out of the feeding space. The walls are at least partly provided with an abrasive surface structure that includes a pattern of a plurality of sharp-edged line-elevations for having beaks of the poultry abraded and worn as they pick feed out of the feeding space.
Abstract: A poultry feed distribution system includes a feed storage, a conveyor line and feeding devices. Each feeding device has an attachment part that is rotatable around the line. The attachment part has a drop tube of the device hingedly connected thereto. The attachment part together with the hinge connection to the drop tube is rotatable around the line between a feeding and a cleaning position, with an inlet of the drop tube getting distanced from the line when the attachment part together with the hinge connection to the drop tube is rotated from the feeding to the cleaning position.
