The lock has a housing for attachment to a window unit to present a slideway extending transversely of the sliding movement of the window, and a locking member having a bolt at one end slideable in said housing slideway to move said bolt between a first maximum outwardly projecting sash locking position, a partially retracted sash sliding position for allowing vertical sash sliding movement, and a fully retracted sash tilting position.
