Abstract: A system for assembling cards in trays includes a pack stacker that stacks cards, a pack separator, a tray for receiving cards, and a processor. The processor is programmed to determine a number of cards in the tray, operate the pack stacker to assemble a plurality of cards into a stack, determine whether the plurality of cards can be accommodated in the tray together with the number of cards and, if so, transfer the stack to the tray. The processor is also programmed to operate the pack separator to separate the stack of cards into a sub-stack if the processor determines that the plurality of cards cannot be accommodated in the tray together with the number of cards wherein the sub-stack has less than the plurality of cards and transfer the sub-stack to the tray.

Abstract: A game card carrier is disclosed that has a first panel having a first interior surface and a first edge, a second panel having a second interior surface and a second edge. The first panel and the second panel are disposed such that the first interior surface and the second interior surface face one another, the first edge is in alignment with the second edge. A band overlays at least a portion the first panel and at least a portion of the second panel to hold the first panel and the second panel adjacent one another.

Abstract: A secure placard and a method of producing the secure placard are disclosed. A substrate includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion of a substrate has varnish applied thereto and a holographic pattern is formed in the varnish. The substrate also includes a second portion that is free of the varnish. The second portion of the substrate is adapted to be printed on using a heat-based process without damage to the holographic pattern.

Abstract: A display system and a method of forming a display are disclosed. A beam is formed from a first substantially flat substrate, a sidewall is formed from a second substantially flat substrate, and a panel is formed from a third substantially flat substrate. The beam includes a first slot, the sidewall is joined to an end of the beam and includes a second slot, and the panel includes an interior portion and first and second tabs extending outwardly from the interior portion. The first tab is inserted into the first slot and the second tab is inserted into the second slot to secure the panel to the beam and the sidewall.

An example method includes producing a first stack of cards including a first card type and a second card type from a single substrate sheet, separating the first stack of cards into a first sub-stack and a second sub-stack. The first sub-stack includes the first card type and the second sub-stack includes the second card type. The example method includes comparing a first top card of the first sub-stack to a first reference card and, based on the first top card being substantially similar to the first reference card, automatically transferring the first sub-stack to a first tray designated to receive the first card type.

Abstract: Erectable displays and methods of making such erectable displays are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a display apparatus including a shroud having a first sheet and a second sheet disposed in opposition to one another, the first sheet and the second sheet being connected to one another at a first end by a first joint and at a second end by a second joint. The display apparatus includes at least one support member disposed between the first and second sheets and between the first and second joints, the support member(s) being configured to outwardly bias the first and second sheets to cause the shroud to assume a curvilinear cross-sectional shape along at least a portion of a longitudinal axis of the shroud.

Abstract: According to one aspect, an ink composition includes a colorant, one or more polymers such as a polyurethane siloxane, a surfactant, water, and a solvent. The ink composition has a total solids content of less than about 20% by weight. Further the ink has an initial surface tension of less than about 50 dynes per centimeter on application and the surface tension on drying should not increase by more than 20 percent.

Abstract: A display sign and a method of disposing the display sign are disclosed in which the display sign includes a first panel made of a first flexible substrate having a first side portion, a second panel made of a second flexible substrate having second side portion, and a strap having an elastic portion. The sensor is adapted to detect if the sensor is subjected to at least a first magnitude of the particular condition. The configuration circuit may be used to specify a second magnitude of the particular condition, wherein the second magnitude is greater than the first magnitude. The processor remains in an inactive state if the object is subjected to a magnitude of the particular condition less than the second magnitude, and the sensor generates a signal in response to detection of sensor being subjected to at least the second magnitude of the particular condition. In response to the signal, the processor enters an active state to develop an indication of at least the second magnitude of the particular condition.
