Abstract: A sealing apparatus for sealing an annulus is described. The apparatus comprises a first sealing element (20) adapted for sealing the annulus against fluid pressure from above the sealing apparatus and adapted to be actuated by fluid pressure from above the apparatus and a second sealing element (40) adapted for sealing the annulus against fluid pressure from below the sealing apparatus and adapted to be actuated by fluid pressure from below the apparatus. In use, the sealing elements are arranged such that the second sealing element is above the first sealing element.
Abstract: A seal for a toilet outlet is described. The seal comprises a body and a deformable undercut lip. The lip is arranged so as to roll radially from the body when subject to load, such as that exerted by a toilet outlet. The rolling motion of the lip ensures that the seal deforms evenly and predictably when subject to load, so reducing the need for precise alignment of the toilet with the seal when installing the toilet.
Abstract: A packing tool comprises a sealing element for mounting on a mandrel so as to define a volume between the sealing element and the mandrel; and a ring member for mounting on the mandrel adjacent the sealing element. The ring member is axially movable relative to the sealing element to cause deformation of the sealing element and includes a communicating bore extending between the volume defined between the sealing element and the mandrel and an exterior portion of the tool.
Abstract: A seal 10 for a toilet outlet is described. The seal 10 comprises a body 12 and a deformable undercut lip 16. The lip 16 is arranged so as to roll radially from the body 12 when subject to load, such as that exerted by a toilet outlet. The rolling motion of the lip ensures that the seal 10 deforms evenly and predictably when subject to load, so reducing the need for precise alignment of the toilet with the seal when installing the toilet.
