Abstract: A C-shaped clamp collar is adapted for attachment to a shaft having radius R. The collar includes a screw for controlling the relative distance between the opposed ends of the collar. The collar has a nominal (rest) inner diameter less than 2R. The screw and collar adapted so that the screw may sequentially drive the opposed ends of the collar apart so that its inner diameter is greater than 2R and the collar may be placed on the shaft, and then draw those ends together until the inner diameter is equal to R and the collar is forced against the shaft.
Abstract: A torque wrench comprising an Allen wrench, a read-out member and a holder member for securing the dial to the Allen wrench. Bending of a portion of the wrench, as measured by the read-out member, is indicative of applied torque.
Abstract: A torque wrench for tightening a threaded fastener, comprising a torque transmitting driver and having a fastener engaging tip and a gauge responsive to bending of the rod for providing an amplified indication of the amount of applied torque.
Abstract: A device for clamping to a rotatable shaft including a C-shaped member and a screw for selectively biassing the end portions of the C-shaped member toward each other so that the inner surface of the C-shaped member is in contact with the shaft. The C-shaped member includes a balancing hole which is offset so that the device is substantially balanced when clamped to the shaft.
