  • Patent number: 5269600
Abstract: A movable divider wall (28) for a drawer (10) includes a cam (32) secured to each opposite end, which cam is relatively compressible across a first direction and only slightly compressible across other directions. Channels (20, 22) are secured to the internal surfaces of opposing drawer panels and each presents a longitudinal recess (24) facing toward the other which are so dimensioned as to receive a cam (32). With the cam relatively compressible direction extending transversely of the recess (24) the cam (32) and divider wall (28) may be adjustably positioned within the drawer. Rotating the divider wall to a position where the cam slightly compressible direction is transverse to the channel recesses locks the cams and divider wall relative to the drawer.

  • Patent number: 5199577
Abstract: A file rack (10) for objects (12) such as video cassettes, CD records, or the like, having two upstanding spaced apart posts (18, 20) forming a front side (14) and two further upstanding posts (22, 24) defining a rear side (16). Wire member dividers (26) are affixed to each of the four posts (18, 20, 22, 24) in spaced relation to each other forming storage bins 25 which slope downwardly from the front side to the rear side. Objects (12) are added to and removed from the bins from the rack front side (14).

  • Patent number: 4966423
Abstract: A cabinet drawer interlock to prevent more than one drawer from being opened at one time has an actuator on each drawer which is engaged with a separate sprocket rotor. A number of locking bars arranged in end contacting relation and each bar having a slot. First and second pawls on each rotor are inserted between the ends of a pair of adjacent locking bars and within a locking bar, respectively, when a first drawer is opened rotating the rotor for that drawer. The remaining closed drawers cannot be opened since the associated locking bars contact the pawl ends on attempted rotor rotation.

  • Patent number: 4715669
Abstract: One side of a cabinet drawer shelf is at least partially closed off to prevent storing access while the other side is open for storing microfilm cartridges or other items. A cartridge is of such dimensions as to extend outwardly from the shelf confines enabling ready access for removal and replacement. An elongated pressure exerting retention strip located in the top portion of each shelf is constructed of a flat sheet-like strip of a springlike material having a plurality of transfer slits therein. The strip lateral edges are confined in a pair of spaced apart grooves distending the strip to engage and hold cartridges on the shelf. In another version, a strip of a plastic foam is located on either the shelf top surface with a thin strip of a material having low frictional sliding surface thereon, such as Mylar, for example, being located thereover.
