    Abstract: A vibration dampening speaker mounting assembly includes a flush-mountable frame for mounting to a wall or ceiling, at least one vibration dampening member, and a baffle for supporting a single or multi-driver transducer array. The at least one vibration dampening member is disposed between the baffle and the frame to reduce acoustic distortions coupled to the wall/ceiling from the baffle. Fasteners are provided that permit installation of the baffle to the frame without tools while avoiding significant acoustic coupling between the baffle and the frame through the fasteners.

    Abstract: Loudspeaker mounting apparatus that permits mounting of a loudspeaker at an angle to a mounting surface. In one embodiment the apparatus comprises an assembly that includes a frame member that is flush mountable in a cutout in the mounting surface. The frame member includes an angled flange that is employed for the mounting of a cooperative baffle. The front of the baffle is recessed behind the mounting surface to permit a flush speaker installation. The baffle mounts to the angled flange of the frame member in one of two possible predetermined orientiations so as to disperse sound around a centerline that is either oriented normal to the mounting surface or at a predetermined angle from normal corresponding to the degree of angle incorporated into the frame and baffle assembly.

    Abstract: An in-wall speaker system is provided having a speaker enclosure which achieves high quality sound and which can be readily installed in a standard residential or other wall structure. The enclosure comprises a relatively thin elongated, resonant-free housing at the upper portion of which is provided an opening in which a loudspeaker is mounted. The lower portion of the enclosure is shaped such that the enclosure can be angularly inserted through an opening in a mounting wall and pushed downward until the upper end of the enclosure containing the speaker is disposed in the wall opening. Fasteners are employed to secure the enclosure to the wall. The fasteners are preferably quick connect fasteners for easy installation. A speaker grille is provided to cover the loudspeaker. The enclosure has sufficient volume and configuration to provide enhanced sound reproduction. Various loudspeakers can be employed in the enclosure to produce intended sound performance.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a system and device for a network hub that includes a single valued resistor placed in series with each transmission line such that reflected and other unwanted waves in the transmission line are rapidly dampened to prevent interference and errors in transmission. The present invention also provides a method and system for determining an appropriate single valued resistor serially placeable within a transmission line in a network such that reflected and other unwanted waves in the transmission line are rapidly dampened to prevent interference and errors in transmission. The present invention locates the single valued resistors on a network hub board. The present invention further provides resistors having resistance of approximately 22 ohms for use with a wide range of impedance transmission lines and signal baud rates.
