Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed for the manufacture of a filter for disposable capsules for the preparation of beverages from a flat disc made of filtering material. The apparatus comprises a transfer element for transferring the flat disc, a forming element for forming the flat disc to conform it in a cup shape with a pleating on a lateral perimeter surface thereof, an insertion element for inserting the pleated cup inside a waterproof cup as well as a retaining element for continuously retaining the flat disc in a predetermined position at least in the transfer and forming elements and during the transfer thereof between the transfer and forming elements.

Abstract: A molding tool for use in pressing operations for pressing powder material, in particular coffee powder, includes a concave, in particular dome-shaped, pressing surface. On the pressing surface there is an extensive non-stick texture for preventing powder material, in particular coffee powder, from adhering. The non-stick texture includes a multiplicity of local recess structures, wherein the recess structures each have a depth of 0.04 mm to 0.2 mm, in particular a depth of 0.08 mm to 0.14 mm. The non-stick texture prevents powder material from adhering during and after a pressing operation, even in the case of powder materials containing oil, e.g. coffee powder. It also prevents such adhering for different types of coffee and in pressing operations in which high pressures arise.

The apparatus includes a belt production line in continuous advancement comprising a plurality of seats arranged at a constant pitch for housing a plurality of capsules to be filled, a filling unit above the belt production line including a plurality of dosers for dosing food substance, wherein the plurality of dosers is configured in at least one rectilinear row of dosers and the plurality of seats is configured for transit below the filling unit in at least one rectilinear row of seats, in that the plurality of dosers is arranged at a constant pitch greater than the constant pitch of the plurality of housing seats. In addition, a coordinated movement element is envisaged, configured to impose on the rectilinear row of dosers and on said rectilinear row of seats a null relative speed.

The first transport device (175, 176) and the second transport device (177) are movable with respect to each other.

Abstract: The invention relates to a capsule and a device for preparing an infusion beverage, such as coffee, tea, or milk beverages. The capsule comprises two parallel extending wall sections, which are connected to each other by a sealing connection. A pressurized liquid or gaseous medium can be conducted through an access to the sealing connection of the capsule with the aid of a supply line in a holder of the device such that the sealing connection is partially undone. As a result, an opening is produced in the capsule. An infusion fluid can be conducted through said opening, wherein the fluid can then become mixed with a powder or granules present in the capsule into an infusion beverage. Said infusion beverage can be discharged through a further opening. In this method for opening the capsule, no objects or parts of the device come in contact with the infusion fluid or the infusion beverage. As a result, contamination is prevented.
