Abstract: An approach is provided for enabling access to content in a network service. Location information is received, at a server, relating to a first remote apparatus and another remote apparatus. The received location information is utilized to determine that the first remote apparatus and the another remote apparatus are proximal to each other. Access rights are updated within a network service to enable the user of the another remote apparatus to access content associated with the user of the first remote apparatus.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for the production of silicon from silyl halides. In a first step, the silyl halide is converted, with the generation of a plasma discharge, to a halogenated polysilane, which is subsequently decomposed to silicon, in a second step, with heating.
Abstract: An exterior mirror assembly with an optical display is suggested, whereby a light opening (2) is provided on the exterior mirror assembly for the passage of light of a warning display. The optical display comprieses of a display housing (4), into which an active illuminated display element (10) is mounted as a light source.
Abstract: A rear view mirror assembly is proposes having at least a mirror base and a mirror head covering a mirror glass (54) mounted into the mirror head and an optical alert indicator (62) that produces light in reaction to a sensor signal to inform operator (28) about hazardous information and the light shines through the mirror glass (54). The mirror glass (54) is mounted to a backing plate (52) that has a mounting surface (53) for at least one LED (64) and at least one light guide structure that can be a wedged light guide or a light guide pin.

Abstract: A technique for indicating an input cable length includes measuring within a cable equalizer circuit a differential voltage that varies approximately linearly in proportion to cable length. The measured voltage is translated into a cable length measurement corresponding to the connected input cable.
Abstract: A lighting unit (10) with a housing (12) and a light disc (11) is suggested, which extends along a vehicle exterior mirror (1) with a housing covering the mirror head. The housing comprises at least two lighting means (14, 14?, 14a, 14b), whereby the lighting means (10) carries out a first function as an indicator, and decouples light in a first decoupling region (5) according to the guidelines of the legal regulations. The lighting unit illuminates at least a second region, whereby the at least second decoupling region (6) lies closer on the vehicle, and the lighting unit (10) carries out the function of a warning display visible to the driver.
Abstract: Flexlock non-textile fabrics use intimately linked elements that are formed from formable, preferably solid phase forgeable materials into generally triangular shapes with hinging connection features along edges of a generally triangular overall shape. These hinging connection portions permit other elements to rotate about axes that intersect at intersections. Buttressing portions are located near these intersections and include cylindrical or conical shapes that abut the buttressing portions of adjacent formed elements. This abutting can occur even when adjacent elements are rotated or twisted out of a common plane. Connection portions include direct formed engagements with knuckles of the other elements. These connection portions and the engaged knuckles can include headed pintles, axles, or oppositely facing conical protrusions, and may be configured to permit the non-textile fabric to bend on itself within its own thickness without undue strain on the connection features.
Abstract: There is provided a radio system, comprising: a receiver for receiving uplink channel traffic; a measuring unit for measuring periodicity of the received uplink channel traffic; and a control unit for controlling discontinuous uplink operation on the basis of the measured periodicity of the received uplink channel traffic.

Abstract: The present invention is intended to provide a technology that can utilize the advantages of both a load sensing control and a regeneration circuit without causing any problem. A regeneration circuit is added to a hydraulic circuit provided with a hydraulic pressure signal line for detecting a hydraulic pressure value of a circuit and controlling a volume of hydraulic fluid to a cylinder 1 with reference to the detected value. A pressure reducing valve 6 that outputs a reduced pressure as an operating signal to a pump 2, and subsequently the controlling means 5 causes the pressure reducing valve 6 to output a pressure reduction command to a pump 2 and thus to reduce a discharge rate from the pump 2, when the regeneration circuit is in a regeneration state.
