  • Patent number: 5308717
Abstract: The battery clamping jig for smaller sized single cell batteries. The jig holds a plurality of batteries in parallel and spaced apart position with opposite ends exposed as that batteries can easily be electrically connected together by soldering conducting strips between batteries. A bottom plate includes recesses matingly or fittingly conforming to at least a portion of the batteries. A top plate also has similar recesses. A restraining member such as a strap with hook end loop fastening material on it can be used to clamp and hold the top and bottom plates together either to clamp batteries in position, or to hold the first and second plates together securely for transport or storage. The jig can be used for as few as two batteries or for many more batteries.

  • Patent number: 5252869
Abstract: An apparatus and method cooling the motors for radio-controlled scale model vehicles. Air is received and directed to at least a portion of the motor while the car is moving. The motor is therefore air cooled to reduce the temperature of the motor. The reduced temperature contributes to longer motor and battery life. The apparatus can include an air inlet positioned on or built into the vehicle body with a conduit directed to an air outlet adjacent the motor.

  • Patent number: 5199181
Abstract: An electric motor brush alignment tool for aligning brushes to 180.degree. orientation from each other, for motors having brush holding brackets which include hollow channels. The brushes are positioned at inner ends of the hollow channels. The tool includes pin members connected to jaws that can be translated relative to one another; to the jaws are connected to a base. The base provides guidance and support from the jaws which allow translation of the pin members into the brush holding brackets. The jaws are then secured to the base which presents the pins in 180.degree. rigid alignment to in turn provide alignment of the brush holding brackets.
