Abstract: A multiple position convertible seat assembly for a boat includes three seat frames pivotally coupled to the boat and to each other to move from a first position as a seat, a second position as a lounge seat with leg support, and a third position forming another seat. In the third position, the seat includes a foldout cushion exposing a work surface.

Abstract: An integrated folding seat and movable backrest includes a mounting frame for all of the elements of the assembly. A vertically movable backrest frame is slideably attached to the mounting frame and coupled to a pivot down seat frame by pivot arms. The pivot arms include a curved upper arm extending between the mounting frame and the seat frame, a lower arm extending between the mounting frame and the seat frame, and a lift arm having one end pivotally coupled to the lower arm at a position intermediate the ends of the lower arm, and an opposite end coupled to the backrest frame.

Abstract: A sliding hatch for a boat including a vertical bulkhead and deck having an opening with vertical and horizontal sections defining a companionway for access to areas below the deck. A door is pivotally mounted to a bulkhead adjacent the vertical opening and movable for access to the vertical section of the companionway. A hatch is slideably mounted to the deck for selectively enclosing the horizontal section of the opening. Pivoted links couple the door to the hatch, such that, as the door is opened and closed, the hatch is moved between open and closed positions.

Abstract: A ladder assembly for mounting a concealed ladder to a boat includes a frame having a pair of spaced-apart guides. The frame is adapted to be mounted within a boat. A slide is movably mounted to the guides for sliding from one end of said frame to an opposite end, and a ladder is pivotally mounted to said slide, such that the ladder can extend from a hatch in the boat and be lowered for use of the ladder in entering and exiting the water from the boat. In one embodiment, a pivot plate is pivotally mounted to the slide and the ladder is pivotally mounted to the slide. A control arm is pivotally mounted to the pivot plate or slide and provides leverage for the easy deployment and storing of the ladder.

Abstract: A vessel, including a transom for mounting outboard engines thereto, is spanned on opposite sides by aft-facing hull extensions which extend beyond the engines and allow a swim platform to be positioned between the hull extensions. The design allows the outboard engines to be covered with an engine cover, which provides an attractive vessel design in which the outboard engines can be concealed with a cover, which may serve other functions, such as a seat or the like. The cover houses an engine cowl mist shield which includes a support frame surrounding one or more outboard engines. The frame includes aperture(s) with edges spaced from the cowl and a flexible member extending from the edges to the cowl below the air intake of the cowl, such that spray and mist from the operation of the vessel does not reach the air intake of the cowl.

Abstract: A reinforcement grid for a vessel includes a plurality of spaced-apart, generally vertically extending walls coupled by lateral floor sections and lateral walls which are coupled to stringers, the transom, and the bottom of the vessel hull to strengthen the transom, thereby allowing a greater number of higher horsepower engines to be mounted to the vessel.

Abstract: A movable seat and backrest are coupled by a pivoted link system, allowing the seat to pivot from a raised stowed position to a lowered use position. A connecting link is coupled to one of the pivoted seat links, such that, as the seat is lowered, the connecting link raises the backrest. When the seat is raised to a stowed position, the connecting link lowers the backrest to a lowered position. When mounted in a vessel, the backrest forms part of the bolster system when the seat is stowed.

Abstract: A storage and dispensing bin has a plurality of vertically spaced chutes, each of which are capable of receiving a plurality of rolls of web stock material and dispensing material from an end-most roll through guides located at the desired vertical position with respect to a work surface. The chutes are inclined at angles to allow roll web stock to advance to a movable gate which allows the next roll of web stock in line to be advanced to a dispensing station when one roll is depleted. Each dispensing space station includes horizontally spaced rollers on which the web stock rests. A keeper bar extends in front of the web stock for holding it in placed as material is dispensed therefrom. A lateral stop is provided for holding the web stock, which may be of different widths, in predetermined horizontal alignment with respect to the work surface.

Abstract: A storage system has a relatively unobtrusive mounting plate which is permanently secured to the edge of a vessel's swim platform and removably receives and captively holds a roller assembly. The mounting plate comprises a generally planar rectangular plate configured to conform to the edge shape of the swim platform and includes a generally U-shaped channel extending around the periphery and open at the top to receive the roller assembly. The roller assembly includes a generally rectangular roller supporting plate shaped to fit within the channel of the mounting plate and be captively held therein and a pair of spaced mounting bosses between which there is mounted a roller which extends above the surface of the swim platform for assisting in the loading and unloading of a personal watercraft onto the swim platform. Locking pins extend between the roller plate and the mounting plate for locking the roller assembly in position for use.

Abstract: A two pathway exhaust and water discharge through-hull system is coupled to a muffler for separating exhaust gases and cooling water at operating speeds such that at low engine speeds exhaust gases and water are discharged through a first outlet preferably above the waterline and, when the engine speed is increased above a predetermined level, exhaust gases are discharged through a second outlet which communicates with a streamlined, low back-pressure underwater discharge skeg and water is discharged through the first outlet. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, a discharge skeg is positioned at each comer of the transom for a twin engined vessel. In a preferred embodiment also, each of the underwater discharge skegs is mounted to the bottom of the hull and includes a mounting flange and an upwardly extending collar which extends through the hull and is coupled to an adapter for coupling the discharge skeg to an exhaust outlet of a muffler.

Abstract: A personal watercraft storage system for use in a boat includes a winch support stand which cooperates with one or more roller brackets for drawing the personal watercraft onto or off of a support surface. Preferably, brackets are mounted on the port and starboard edges of the swim platform and the winch support stand can be quickly and easily positioned on either of the brackets depending upon the desired position of the personal watercraft. A winch provided on the support stand provides the mechanical advantage needed to move the personal watercraft.

Abstract: A boat having a swim platform assembly mounted thereto is disclosed. The assembly has a top member and a bottom member assembled in a clam-shell manner. The interior of the swim platform assembly is hollow and preferably has a watertight seal. Preferably, a pair of projections are formed at the outboard corners of the swim platform which are received in complementary recesses formed in the stern of the boat hull. In addition, the aft portion of the bottom member is substantially planar and the bottom member is convex. The combination of the convex bottom member, interlocking projections and interlocking recesses results in a swim platform having enhanced strength, stability and buoyancy.

Abstract: A recess flow plate mounted to a boat hull to substantially cover a through-hull mounting recess located on the bottom of a boat hull is disclosed. The through hull mounting recess has an upstanding front wall which is adapted to receive the propeller shaft and a tapered top wall which extends rearwardly from the upstanding front wall. The flow plate is removably secured over the through-hull recess to maintain the laminar flow of water across the bottom of the boat hull.
