Patents Assigned to Sabre Communications Corporation
  • Patent number: 11728557
Abstract: A passive-intermodulation-mitigating mounting assembly for a fixture, such as can be affixed to a utility or communications monopole can include a first bracket and a second bracket respectively defining a first through hole and a second through hole. In some examples, a mounting plate supports an antenna or a radio. A fastener can extend through the first through hole and the second through hole, for instance to couple the first bracket with the second bracket to attach the mounting assembly to a fixture. The passive-intermodulation-mitigating mounting assembly can include a bushing that can be inserted into a through hole, and the bushing can physically and electrically isolate the fastener from one or more of the brackets. The isolation of the bushing helps inhibit the passive-intermodulation of the mounting assembly when the fastener extends, via the first bushing, through at least one of the through holes.

  • Patent number: 11406033
Abstract: An electronics cabinet can include a cylindrical housing, providing a wall defining an interior space for locating electronics equipment therein. A cylindrical section door can be located in an access cutout defined by the wall. An internal hinge can attach an interior of the door to an interior of the wall of the cylindrical housing. The internal hinge can include a pivoting curved hinge arm. The internal hinge can also include wall mount, configured to be attached to the interior of the wall of the cylindrical housing. The internal hinge can also include a pivot connection between the hinge arm and the wall mount. The internal hinge can also include a catch, integrated with or attached to the hinge arm, the catch configured for self-engagement to inhibit opening of the door beyond a specified door opening angle, and to permit closing of the door only upon manual user-disengagement.

  • Patent number: 10655354
Abstract: A utility pole anchoring system and associated methods are shown. In one example, a set of anchoring nuts is provided having at least one non-standard thread dimension. In one method of anchoring, a number anchor nuts from a set of non-standard thread dimensioned anchor nuts are selected to correspond to measured deviations in anchor thread dimensions.

  • Patent number: 10526803
Abstract: A platform assembly, such as for a utility or communications monopole, can include a central mounting bracket, such as can be configured for mounting about a monopole. One or more or at least three platforms can extend laterally from the central mounting bracket. One or more or at least three lower rails can extend between adjacent pairs of the platforms. One or more or at least three upper rails can be located above respective lower rails. A plurality of vertical mounting pipes can interconnect respective upper rails to corresponding lower rails. Such vertical mounting pipes can support the respective upper rails with respect to the corresponding lower rails. One or more or at least three corner connection plates can extend between adjacent upper rails. A vertical support pedestal can connect at least one of the corner connection plates to an underlying one of the one or more or at least three platforms.

  • Patent number: 10284830
Abstract: Techniques that can overcome challenges for providing a virtual template for placing a part onto a utility or communication pole that includes twists that extend along at least a portion of a length of the pole. A user to use a laser pointer to trace along a corner between faces of a non-cylindrical pole, and feed that location registration information to the laser projection system to use in determining the location at which to place the virtual template on the utility or communication pole.

  • Patent number: 10266934
Abstract: A process for making a workpiece, e.g., such as a utility or communications monopole can include selectively masking welded regions (e.g., joining the pole to a collar or other portion of a base, or joining component parts of the pole) before a corrosion-inhibiting galvanizing process that can include precleaning (e.g., in a hot acid bath) and a hot zinc galvanizing bath. The masking material can than optionally be removed, such as abrasively. The unmasked regions can optionally be spot-treated, if desired, such as to inhibit corrosion.
