    Abstract: Systems and methods may be provided for setting up a geophysical seismic information-gathering grid utilizing a source pattern including but not limited to a “slant” or “diamond” source as well as a receiver pattern using base patterns including but not limited to “I+H” or “H+I” and “box plus.” Use of such base patterns may allow seismic data to be collected and processed using a reduced number of sources and receivers to provide a seismic imaging plot having increased and noticeably improved resolution than is presently available.
