Patents Assigned to Safety Production
  • Publication number: 20100303561
Abstract: The cutting tip comprises a lateral face for aligned lateral positioning against a lateral alignment line with a tool holder housing, comprising an alignment snout with first and second lateral alignment surfaces that bear respectively against first and second lateral driving alignment surfaces and comprising, at some distance, a third lateral alignment surface for bearing against a third lateral driving alignment wall surface, two out of the first, second and third alignment surfaces being mutually inclined in such a way as to ensure alignment in a chosen position of travel with respect to the driving lateral wall surfaces opposite.

  • Patent number: 7806632
Abstract: The clamping assembly includes a cutting insert with a lower passage housing a screw with a head for clamping the cutting insert against a bearing surface provided on a tool holder and comprising a screwing hole, wherein the screw head is shaped and arranged so as to press only on one side, with a flared opening, of the screw hole, the passage has a template incompatible with a template of the head in the clamping position, and, outside of the clamping, the cutting insert and the screw can change mutually relative positions so as to harmonize the two templates and thus release the cutting insert without having to entirely unscrew the screw.

  • Patent number: 7726914
Abstract: The invention relates to a machining tool holder comprising alignment elements in a housing and clamping elements on the base of the housing, the elements being used to align and clamp a removable cutting tip comprising a lateral slide for the lateral deviation of a pressure force exerted by a screw belonging to the tool holder, the screw being guided such that it abuts obliquely against the lateral slide in order to push the slide, and consequently the tip, back towards a longitudinal alignment side which defines the housing and which serves as an alignment end stop for the associated alignment edge of the tip. In this way, the tip is oriented as desired in order to slide along the longitudinal side and abut against a rear alignment side.

  • Patent number: 7604440
Abstract: The cutting insert has a front layer (1A) provided with the lateral faces of a front circumference (3A, 4A, 5A, 6A) defining together with a large front face (1) a given number of cutting edges (13a, 13b; 14a, 14b; 15a, 15b; 16a, 16b). The cutting insert also has a rear layer (1B) provided with lateral faces of a rear circumference where at least certain faces are embodied in the form of faces supporting a frame (3B, 4B, 5B, 6B) on the walls of a toolholder housing (30), and wherein the number of the frame supporting faces (3B, 4B, 5B, 6B) is less than the number of cutting edges (13a, 13b; 14a, 14b; 15a, 15b; 16a, 16b).
